Sometimes the Star goalie out duals the Star scorer. It happens. Matthews played well. Generated a lot of looks pit puck on net a lot. Price was just better. It is what it is. I o ow he gets paid to score but he also played well away from the puck.
I’d be more upset with Marner, Jumbo, Simmonds, Rielly, Foligno (maybe pass injured), and actually Hyman (oddly enough). Them not playing well at all combined with Price getting the better of Matthews + JT injury (they could load matchups) + Muzzin = probable cause for loss.

Hold on - when I pointed this out much earlier in the year with respect to Habs scoring lots of goals, your entire thread attacked me. At the time Habs played 1/3 of their games vs Oil & Vancouver and scored 57% of their goals against those two teams.

Which is it? North have some poor Goaltending and D? Or not?

When we couldn’t score our way out of that same division, maybe going after the biggest fish in the UFA market for a defenceman isn’t the best idea. After all the crying about all our money being tied up in four guys we’re going big game hunting? To fix a problem that doesn’t exist?

We have bigger problems up front. We need secondary scoring. We need to change the way our offence plays and that means using the money we can dig up to find new forwards, not Museum Man.

I made one innocuous comment that wasn't even criticizing the team, and almost everyone in that thread attacked me - many making it personal. Was like a jail-break and totally unexpected. They are so defensive in that thread a hint of something they don't agree with pushes them over the top. The way they reacted you'd think I'd killed one of their puppies or something.

It's was just weird.
