Back in 2010 and before, Girouix had a reputation as a player that really elevated his game come playoff time. Kinda ilke that other Claude, Lemiuex. Don't know when exactly things change, but does not have that reputation any longer. |

What has the recent playoffs been for this team, 5-6 games and out. Does this really matter right now? I think the roster has plenty of holes, let’s focus on getting into the playoffs rather than nonsense like this |

Shocked no Roddy Ross contract.
Bill do you see the Flyer making a legit run for Eichel? |

anyone remember how soon before the Vegas expansion draft did we learn of the trades made that involved picks to take certain players? or did we not learn until the actual draft? just surprised we haven't seen one yet? I'm really expecting the Flyers to make one of those deals. |

i don't remember hearing about it until the draft happened, specifics anyway. i really hope fletcher doesn't do that. let them take whoever they want to take. |

Through 2014, he was in Flyers all-time top 5 in playoff points per game. In 2016, he was playing injured enough to need surgery right after the playoffs. 2018 was a disappointment after his Hart Trophy worthy RS. 2020 was just OK. It's a "what have you done for me lately" world. |

Sorry if I hurt your fee-fees.
Looks like after 2014 is when the falloff occurs.

just not fair to him really, guy has not been given the team around him to max out his career. He never complains and just wants to be a Flyer, how the hell do you trash a guy like that? Flyers need to give him a fair contract extension, I am pretty sure G will be reasonable. Just my opinion but in this world you attract what you put out there. It would be a lack of character for the franchise to not treat G the right way down the stretch of his career.
get a real 4 line team and proper linemates and G will perform well enough in the Playoffs |

They treated him with a rebuild on the fly during his prime and we are still in the rebuild as he’s what 33/34 |

Fair leaves for a lot of interpretation.
Disagree it is a business. They need to do what is best for business. Cant worry about hurting ones feelings. What is the the "right" way in your opinion?

This 2010 Flyers team was one of the most complete teams in Flyers history, they had everything, skill, speed, toughness ... EXCEPT they just needed a goalie. Leighton did the best he could for what he was, an AHL level goalie, but with even a top 15 goalie in the league, this team would have won this series and the Cup! Its maddening to be reminded just how good this team was in the 2010 playoffs. |

yeah, while Hex had to clear put Cap and reset the franchise he just didn't move fast enough. If it was a mini rebuild or rebuild on the fly he didn't accomplish it. I am on the record saying the jury is still out on Hexy's drafting, this coming year will be the final grade.

the 2010 team had everything but consistency. They were a shootout loss from missing the playoffs entirely. |

I don’t think 7-8 years is lately? 4 goals in last 35 playoff games is more than lately |

I know its a need but I just don't know how they are going to get one. Sure they can clear space and sign Dougie Hamilton for $9M per but I don't think he wants to leave Carolina. They can trade with Columbus and offer the moon for Jones and then pay him $9M, but this would be a mistake because I don't think he is that good. I still think the more realistic thing for the Flyers is to sign Adam Larsson to a reasonable contract and trade for another top 4 defenseman, win with depth and toughness, not superstars. |
