really hyped, this is what was missing since Zito and JD left , someone who understands the business side of things , this will allow Kekalainen to be more of a talent evaluator and pure GM , rather than a PR guy (no offense but his Belicheck type of press conferences don't inspire confidence).

Watch for Quinn or Knoblauch to be named head coach now. Wouldn't hate either to be honest.

I actually think Boudreau would be excellent choice for Jackets. Your scoring woes would disappear in a heartbeat and offensive production would really get going. You guys have the D side down pat.

When Alain Vigneault replaced Tortorella years ago for the NY Rangers, he instilled an offensive scheme that significantly impacted the defense first style that Tortorella demands of his team's. The Rangers reached the Stanley Cup Finals in Vigneault's first year. If the Blue Jackets hire an offensive minded Coach, the samething might happen.

Hi Alex! You and I called it on a CBJ thread earlier, glad we were listened to. In retrospect JD should never have left Columbus after the way he got treated by the Rangers. This is great news, the first reason the CBJ fanbase can celebrate in a long time!
