Don't know much about Walker, and do you have a LD, don't think Walker fits. But don't think it gets done if Byfield isn't in there. But solid

If Eichel were healthy, happy and signed to a more manageable contract, that would be a fair package, IMO. Instead, it sounds like he has a fairly serious injury, is fairly unhappy and has a $10M AAV. Those things ought to lower his value, along with LA being one of the few teams with the cap space, patience and pieces to accommodate a trade.

I imagine a package that includes just one top prospect (ex. Turcotte), just one solid roster player (ex. Kempe), a 1st and a 2nd. Buffalo will no doubt want more (or better), but no team would give up more than that, at least not right now, IMO. If he undergoes successful surgery and bounces back, then Buffalo might get more, but, if they want to move on right now, they're likely going to have to accept a little less than the ideal return.

Myself I would rather keep what we have and move forward with that plan.i for one dont want to part with prospects and picks for too many question marks that surround him.

Yeah they are dreaming in technicolor. They want huge overpayment for a player thats pi$$ed & doesnt want to be there & potentially an injury that could impact his career.
I guess they just keep him & keep the status quo.

Well think anyone would be aggravated when they can't do what they Love. And who said he doesn't want to be here, haven't heard about a request for a trade. As a Sabres fan I am hoping he gets healthy and plays at a high level again, it's the best scenario for the Sabres be it him staying or traded.

I like eichel as a player, very good player.i also hope he stays right where he is,because then all these silly rumours go away.we are an attractive trade target because we have a truckload of good prospects and picks

With his health being a huge question mark. Zero chance he gets half that as a return. Buffalo is about to get worse. Esp with the potential that more of there top players want out. LA stay the course, look into FA. Look at smaller trades. Dont blow your load on a hurt player with a 10mil a year contract. When healthy hes fantastic. But we have no idea what kind of player comes back after he gets "fixed".

Drop Walker and the two 2nds from the trade and you're in the realm of reasonable. If Buffalo asks for more than that, Blake should hang up the phone.

If Kevin Adams doesn't slam the phone down when LA refuses to put Byfield on table he should be fired. Plain and simple Eichel is a PROVEN top 10 commodity and Byfield is not.

What exactly has he proven? That he's incapable of leading his team to the playoffs for 6 consecutive seasons?

Off course you guys are, you have a lot of nice pieces. But with the way some of are young guys came up and played this year the last 25gms I would like to have Eichel there playing with them. I would be surprised if he even gets traded this year, to get the best return if or when, he needs to show he can play at a high level. Just my opinion, but the injury does effect things and some Sabres fans seem to be blind to that.

Part of me would love to see a player of Eichel's talents in a kings jersey and bring the level up for some of those young guys, but the other part of me wants to see these guys turn into our next generation of Brown, kopitar, quick, doughty and win us championships just like that core did.the latter part of me is winning the arguement and knows it would take more than eichel to make us champs again.

The Sabres are going to demand too much for a disgruntled player, the Kings will balk and the Sabres will send him elsewhere for a worse deal and not blame their management again. The Kings should just wait for them to call.

I can't argue with that cause I am seeing it a little with the Sabres. I mean Mittelstadt, Cozens, Borgen, Bryson, Samuelsson, Asplund, Ristolainen, UPL they kinda remind me when Gaustad, Roy,Vanek, Miller, Pominville, Campbell all came up, of course we didn't win a cup but to see the pieces come up and make you a better team. Maybe I am just a Homer but I see a future for the Sabres and it doesn't need to be 3yrs from know. Kings should stay the course, you guys could be a power house in a few years.

I would prefer to just stay the course. Bring up all the kids over the next couple years and see what we have. But that's boring so if I had to make a trade I would do something more along the lines of:

F- Alex Turcotte
F- Akil Thomas
F- Grundstrum
D- Durzi or Clauge
2022 1st Round Pick
2022 2nd Round Pick

That seems fair to me.

You DO know that none of us are the GMs, right? You're talking like any one of us has any input into this deal. 😂

Eichel is elite talent for sure and at 24 years old. Problem I have with him is:

1) He's been unable to lead his team to the playoffs. Buffalo has been a team that has been good enough to make the playoffs.

2) The way he talks, he seems like he's a bad personality to have. Every interview is basically some sort of complaint. A great leader praises his team during victories and accepts blame in defeat. In a game against the Rangers, in overtime Eichel made a poor back pass that lead to a turnover and a 2 on 1 in which the Rangers won the game on. Eichel didnt take the blame for the loss, he just pooped all over the teams play.

He needs to act like a mature adult instead of a sulking child.
