Isles in 6--Nope. I could see NY in 7. But the Pens have a clear advantage on the power play and are motivated. Only way NY wins in less than 7 is if Pens goaltending completely implodes. Way too many ppl thinking 2021 will be a continuation of 2019. The teams are SO different compared to 2 years ago. The Islanders style is most effective when the opposition hasn't had much experience facing it. The Pens have adjusted and know how to win against the Islanders. The Penguins' forward depth and a blueline that can all skate and move the puck well will make life pretty rough for NYI. Jarry just has to play OK.

In my attempts to not come off homerish, this narrative that the Pens are all offense and no defense is just wrong in a million different ways, and if that’s what you’re basing your prediction on then I feel like you haven’t actually watched the Penguins this year.

I am hoping the Isles can upset the Pens, but since their addition of Carter the scales have tipped substantially in the Pens favor. The x-factor is Varly and his performance. Isles need him to steal one of the 1st 2 games to get them going. If that happens it is a 7 game series. If Varly does not over perform, it is Pens in 5!
