My take on all of this after digesting and doing some research....

Gigantic douche move by Eichel. I hate this wiener. Such a good player, such a typical Boston Mbumhole it’s not even funny.

The surgery sounds good - if he was (frank)ing 40.

Under no circumstances should a 24 year old man be removing a disk from his neck and having an artificial one put in. Especially since it was only just approved and he plays a contact sport.

He absolutely tried to beat the dead horse, and all of his pouting and actions are what should turn teams off from trading for him, not his injury.

Reinhart finished top 10 in goals this season.

Mittelstadt played at a 55-60 point pace when Granato took over.

Cozens very well may be our future Captain.

Risto stinks but could have been traded for Hall in 2016 or Ehlers in 2018.

Tanking for high end talent won the Blackhawks and Penguins 6 cups combined.

Not sure you’ll find an Avalanche fan or Toronto fan that will complain about building their rosters through exclusively top 10 picks for the most part either.

The Sabres being the exception to the rule because ownership and management failed those players and could not surround them when they had 6 years to do so was the problem.

The tank didn’t work out because of the people at the top.

Ownership, the Ownerships demands of Management (GM and HC) , and the various GM’s and HC’s that have shuffled through here all have their hands in the cookie jar.

It’s been a colossal mess from top to bottom.

The fact that Eichel is a bonafide 1C, Reinhart is a 2C/1RW, Dahlin being a top 4 d-man when allowing to play free, Mitts being a top 9 complimentary player, and Dylan Cozens are not the reason we suck.

Here is why we suck:

Whiffing on every draft pick outside of the aforementioned players for the most part since 2005.

Signing the likes of Leino, Moulson, Okposo, Skinner, Eakin in free agency, again has nothing to do with where you finish in the standings.

Not taking advantage of analytics, especially if they are operating as a small budget team, by virtues of penny pinching cause of their own incompetence (Terry and Kim I am talking about)

Tanking had nothing to do with not paying ROR’s bonus and getting a better return.

Tanking had nothing to do with not hiring competent GM’s or Head coaches.

It’s a total failure

I can't see why we can't win this year, there's a decent foundation here, even without Jack and Rhino. Why do we have to start over, get futures, why can't we get pieces that help now and future years. IMO this team can win know with good pieces added from Jack and Rhino. Nice to get a future pick, but I want players that help me next year.
