lol okay Don Cherry guess goals don't win games...
- NuckUp

I’ll take that as a complement, Don Cherry was one of the smartest men of his times. Where else can a career minor leaguer make million in pro hockey?
Your missing the point if the 4 th line went out and played hitting hockey it would wear down the other teams d. Not rocket science, not everyone on the team needs to be a superstar.

I don't think that line is that slow, they aren't fast per se but they are quick and can keep pace(again not sure about Gadjovich) but Graovac doesn't seem out of position often and I like what MacEwan brings. I look to Vegas and their 4th line they aren't fast but quick and they are heavy if the Canucks had that it would open up the top two lines for more opportunities against tired D.
- Nucknab23

There are many pro observers that say Canucks need to get faster...especially the bottom six. But yeah rotating pounding wingers in is fine between the Mottes and Highmores.

...and that as you say is more "effective" then a line that's scoring?

While a pound and grind line is great a talent line can score without them.

I just don't get the Highmore thing I have nothing against him but personally Motte is faster stronger and has a better scoring touch. I think Motte on the 3rd Line if we can have some size that won't hurt us defensively on the 4th makes sense, he looks like a 10-15 goal guy and he's a pain in the ass to play against. Lind has some of that in his game too, if he could chip in while being a pr!ck the third looks good just need a non- JT Miller center. Easier said than done- I know 3rd line centres are tough to acquire, draft or trade for.

I think it’s time to move on from Motte. He isn’t durable enough to play the style he needs to. Expose him and we can keep Gadj Lind etc as Seattle likely selects him

I forgot Canucks lost JV so guess Motter needed for the 3rd line and lockwood can rotate in for the pounders on the 4th.

But why not 3 centers deep with JTM? BB, Hogs, Pearson and Podz are enough to fill the top six wings.

It’s not against the rules. But Luongo retiring early is cap circumvention

*Cap circumvention for a rule that wasn't even in place when the contract was signed.

Plus the hilarity of Pronger being on LTIR and working for the NHL at the same point. Definitely not circumventing the cap there

Good to see a real hockey post among the orgy of hate.

Would you play a 4th line of Gadj Graovac Lind or is that sound too slow...?

One game for that seems a bit excessive but I’m not too bothered by the ruling.

What I found funny was the tweet from Steve Dodd that bitched about interference on McJesus coming down the ice. McCheeze was obviously holding Horvat’s stick.

Ya I saw that

McDavid is getting a real chippiness in his game. He gets the white glove treatment, but I'm hoping players start stepping into him to tell him to (frank) off

Embarrassing...

Dhaliwal reporting that after Canucks were told that Tryamkin was staying in the KHL, they spent the next 60-90 mins trying to change his mind.

True, and you are that very rare breed of drummer AND goalie. There’s got to be a joke in there somewhere. Speaking of jokes, heard this one the other day...

What do you call a drummer that breaks up with his girlfriend?

Homeless.

After running out of time for this season and knowing that him waiting cost him money they shouldn't have low balled him. Totally tactless.
