the team is playing fine. all winnable games... the 2 biggest problems have been goalies and the Powerplay.

they have been controlling the play, and getting the better of the chances pretty much every game.

Not to sound like a douche, but have you ever played hockey when you don't have any faith in your goalie?

I have a lot of experience. Like, waaaaaaay too much experience.

It's all well and good to say the team needs to play better, but it's very hard to bust a gut trying to get a goal, when you know your poop goalie is just going to give it back, in a soul-crushing way.

And I'm a little perplexed by the narrative that Dubas should have done more.

No team survives having your top two goalies injured.

The Athletic article, which is usually more clear, was pretty muddy when I read it. I sort of gathered that get Freddy off of IR, they almost need $1.5m in additional space - after demoting guys like Brooks and Robertson. In my brain I was thinking that Simmonds' contract would do it, but the lesser ones (Thornton, Bogo, etc.) wouldn't. I may not have gleaned it that well. It's been a rough week.

Meh. Let's be honest Rittich let in two softies in Hoglander and the 5th goal.

Aside from that, it feels like Keefe is looking towards the playoffs and what his line up might be and what the depth guys have to give.
