Someone (frank)in explain to me how I can hear all season long how good Laughton is on breakaways but isn’t tried in the shootout. So we get scores one, we have one more chance to stay in it, so Vigneault goes with Voracek or Farabee who never try a move, they just go in for the shot!

How is it on a delayed penalty, Vigneault has the big guns of Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, JvR, Provorov and Lindblom out there with possession and great pressure. We fail to score but our staff comes back with the same useless power play units and don’t get half the amount of pressure that we did on the delay? Explain why we’re not going top heavy and getting our best guys on one unit.

Hagg played great. Glad he returned but why scratch Myers now? Myers is logging heavy minutes every night and everything is on the line, why scratch him now for Hagg? I think I’d understand if we’re scratching Braun but not Myers.

The push by Morin made it a penalty. Not worth a five. But a minor was justified. The one on Sanheim that went unpenalized was a blown call.

The so-called Department of Player Safety should be looking at both plays today, not just Morin’s.

Like groundhog day year after year with shootouts.

51-92 all time in shootouts. League worst .357 win %.
Next worst Ottawa/Florida .423 win %.

Flyers shooting % in shootouts league worst 26.6 %
Opposition shooting % in shootouts vs. Flyers NHL best 37.7%

Valuable points pissed away year after year. No matter the coach/personnel they do literally nothing to improve. They have become accepting of this absolute garbage.

This is the softest most female genitalia team I've ever had the unfortunate honor of cheering for. Ed snider has probably rolled over in his grave knowing that this garbage is happening to this team

CF has a lot of work to do. This team has blue balled all of us and it's time to swap some major parts of this core

I like jake but he has stayed past his welcome here. Hopefully we have someone ready to replace him in our line up because I feel he is as good as gone this off season

I completely agree with you...been saying this all year. A mighty mites kids’ team plays with more passion and aggression than this Flyers team.

Myers was scratched because Myers stinks, that is the reason. I don't know what games you are watching, but if you haven't figured out by now Myers is not good, I'm not sure what to tell you. Besides the two bad plays from Provorov last night in the first period, I thought the Flyers D played one of the best games I have seen them play this year, especially given Morin's bullsh*t ejection in the first period.

I’m was shocked by the call on Sam. Wtf is the league doing anyway? Ed would have called Bettman after seeing that. It was a push and not even a hard one. That’s a 2 min boarding call. That’s it. Then fir good measure they miss a similar call on us.

What I think we need to be clear on is that we need more team toughness and not fighters. The new nhl you need guys that can play and stick up for teammates/punish opponents without fighting. Sure, drop the mitts now and again, but understand that fights are rare. Matt Martin ovbviously comes to mind, but there are others. It drives me insane too that a lot of games we have zero pushback. I mean that 9 0 debacle? We should have been running rangers through the board. Instead, we bent over and took it.

Its the same reason why this team needs 52 shots to score a goal, they simply don't have players that can finish. That is why their PP is below average. That is why they lose most shootouts. Its not rocket science, get some snipers on this team for once and things will turn around. Its about drafting philosophy. Hextall always looked for 200 foot players, that's what he cared about. Fletcher I hope will realize this and start drafting snipers. If you have been watching the Phantom highlights, Foerster looks like a sniper, and actually shows creativity on his shootout attempts. He is exactly what this team needs.

AV is not sending messages at this point IMO; the guy is trying to put out the best lineup he can, while also managing the fact that this team has to play 5 games in 6.5 days (Thanks NHL by the way) so he needs to put fresh legs out there as much as possible. Honestly I have seen enough of Myers, he doesn't get, he never will get it IMO.

More ridiculous hyperbole. Myers does not stink. He is a young player that has had his struggles to play on a team that as a whole has not played well defensively. Someone repeatedly claiming that Myers stinks, should not be questioning what games people are watching or questioning what someone has figured out. Not with that track record.

Who is the best sniper in the game today? Is it Ovechkin? His shootout career percentage is 31.2%. No where near the lead in his team or in the league.

Did I hear this correctly last night? They said Coots was the only Flyers player with a successful shootout attempt THIS YEAR. If true, unbelievably pathetic and I am going back to turning off the tv when overtime ends.

I thought this was a chance for the Flyers to beat the Isles in a must win game. Usually after a big trade a team is inserting those new players into the lineup and you can take advantage of that. The Isles looked out of sync most of the night with the exception of the beginning, but the Flyers lack of finishers reared it's ugly head. I mean, where the hell have JVR and Farabee been? This is why JVR is on my hit list this off season. He looked totally engaged and on fire early in the season, and then he completely vanishes and it appears he's taken Farabee with him. Hayes still looks like he is visiting Mars although at least I noticed him a couple of times last night. Hart looked good after that second goal(thought he lost his net there) and he looked like the Hart of last year in the SO(nothing you can really do when a guy pings one off the post and in). They look better, but the time for moral victories has come and gone my friends.
