A lot of companies don't allow a vpn but more so they're using work property, hardware loaded with software (the full extent of my computer knowledge) that essentially says hi business owner, this is what this computer is doing at any point in time...some people forget that

VPNs make sense for contractors who work for big tech companies so they can get paid silicon valley money while living in bfnowhere. Tech companies are apparently cracking down on that through the pandemic
