Not against you personally but that's always the excuse. Contrary to popular belief in here even here in AB lots if not most were following all the restricted mandates for the better part of a year. But yet here we are. Having a Police state for two weeks with everybody shut in and expecting it to 'magically disappear' ain't gonna happen. Kind of like the virus 'magically manifested itself' out of nothing in a wet market in China lol.
- LordHumungous

Says the guy who for the past year has proudly been anti-mask and flouted the social distancing/gathering rules. Awesome.

So your arguments are... That covid is just the flu and nothing serious so we don't need all the restrictions or masks...
Combined with, the virus so contagious and serious that masks and restrictive measures don't effectively work anyway so they are nothing more than a way for people to show that they are virtuous.

Awesome. .

My cousin called me last night, I haven't talked to him for 25 years and he informed me my Aunt died of Covid on April 2nd.

Lol that sucks. I thought the fact Schmidt was unscathed while Myers caught the virus early was another ✅ for Schmidt and another X for Reuby

So sounds like Beagle may miss next season as his injury is severe. Big for the club if true
- CanuckDon

I told you guys a month ago that is what was going to happen with him. You idiots always want a damn link though.

Links are only required for bad news. Also, reports are only credible if they are canuck-positive. If not, the person reporting it is either a basement dwelling nerd or a reporter with a vendetta against the team.

Just using them as an example of lockdown measures that were enforced, and seemingly curbed their count.

Could look at Australia as well. When they shut down they shut down HARD. 10 cases? Lockdown. People follow the rules, life goes back to normal.

- NewYorkNuck

I would have to agree with Retz. China’s human rights record and cover up is atrocious.

Damn....Petey’s left hook must be more impressive than I would have ever thought!

Sucks for Beagle if true. Hard for guys at his age to come back from a serious injury.

They also have a president who opposes any lockdown measures, cuz he's worried how it'll affect the economy.

Hmmm...

It’s from last September, but here is a study of national economic performance vs how the country managed COVID-19
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-health-economy

The punchline is:
But among countries with available GDP data, we do not see any evidence of a trade-off between protecting people’s health and protecting the economy. Rather the relationship we see between the health and economic impacts of the pandemic goes in the opposite direction. As well as saving lives, countries controlling the outbreak effectively may have adopted the best economic strategy too.

Countries that tried to remain open, like it wasn’t happening, didn’t perform as well as those that acted decisively to contain it.

Big trade coming in

AJ Greer, Mason Jobst, a 2021 first-round pick, and a 2022 conditional fourth-round pick in exchange for Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac.

I think it's safe to assume VAN won't be a player at the TDL.

Disappointing but understandable due to the circumstances.

Still changes nothing about what should be done in the offseason re: front office.
