I would argue that Johansson doesn't upgrade the backup goaltending problem With Colorado, Alex Stalock was a much better possibility and with the Avs being arguably the best team In the NHL this Is not a decision that Sakic would not want to screw up.

TJ hasn't been the same since he had wrist surgery. But he's having a decent season this year. His contract hurts him as he has 3 more years left at 5 mil AAV. Tampa needs to shed that contract for next season. Kucherov will be back and Coleman and Goodrow are UFA's plus they'll need to sign or trade for a backup goalie to replace McElsievey.

Maybe JBB pays Ronnie Francis to take him to Seattle. But Ek said he heard of a possible Jeff Skinner for TJ trade, so who knows?

Think I'm giving up on sports in general. What ever happens good luck to all.

Have fun with that, Colorado. Seriously, I've been watching Sabres games since they've come into the league, and I can't recall a worse goaltender in net for us, and it's not just because our D sucks either...the guy is HORRIBLE. The only other guys I can think of that sucked as bad for us were John Blue and Bob Essensa.

Getting a 6th for him is a steal.

Somehow, yes. They're both awful but the Avs aren't taking on Hutton's contract.

But like Vogl said, Johansson doesn't stop pucks. Not sure what the Avs were thinking here. God help them if he's ever pressed into a game or two during the playoffs. They were a Cup favorite, but if he has to play for them, there goes their chances.
