Before he took the head job with the Leafs, didn't the Sabres make a serious push for Mike Babcock? Of if Torts doesn't re-up with the Jackets, he would certainly bring the type of structure and disciple that might help turn the club around next season. Also, is Gerard Gallant still looking for work? Any of these three guys would be better than Krueger, who wasn't a good hire to begin with.

He’s not the problem. And he’s not worthless. Very wrong on both accounts.

If the job involves eating Kim's ass for hours, there's a line

This looks bad, but I guess it would look pretty similar for most teams.

They had LaFontaine and Nolan and the team was fun to watch and played hard. They were ousted because they go along with the tankasaurus plan Buffalo had. All Ted Nolan does is get guys to play hard, so maybe bring him back and let him coach.

Buffalo has had 8 years straight with a top 8 pick or higher (including multiple 1sts many years). Which other team has had that and still be at the bottom of the NHL standings?

It's SO much more than that. The entire environment is toxic. That goes back 3 owners. There are still people in the organization from that time. The only way this organization succeeds is with a complete rinsing -- top to bottom. Everyone out. From the top business executives to the janitorial crew. Not kidding.

Sabres fan here. It's weird - I've rarely seen a team that keeps making the wrong decision almost every time. We try to make the right move, oh Lord how we try, but everything we try does not work. For 10 years now.

This team needs a hockey czar. But I'm pretty sure even if they think they finally hired the right guy for that position, somehow it'd go horribly wrong. It would work elsewhere, just not here. We're cursed.

- kritter65

Because you cursed the world with Patrick Kane Sabres reap the downfalls of this plague. I like Sabres. I like pat lafontaine and I will continue to root for the underdog. Loved Hasek as soon as he was a Sabre night t before because he was a Blackhawk. Time to force the pegulas to sell and get a proper owner

One hit, a twist of the spine and he could be paralyzed.
