He's got a history of nasty head hits and still hasn't learnt to not step over that line. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 2-5 games. Anything more that that would be a shock (but I wouldn't be shedding any tears for him).

2-5? Are you kidding me? This banana eater is dangerous. This hit should be 20 minimum. 10 for history 10 for the hit. Vrana deserves two for being a coward

The NHL will (frank) this up somehow like they always do.

Btw he puts his own team in jeopardy because the other team wants to injure the other guy now.

I guess you missed the late hit on Jankowski that injured him just a few games ago. For some reason the league doesn't care.

Fighting is so stupid anymore. Why doesn't someone just cheap shot him back? And then anther 10 times just for good measure? (frank) Wilson.

I dont blame the players for these hits. I blame the NHL the refs and player safety. It's an absolute disgrace. If I was the ref I would of given Wilson a 5 min match penalty and a game misconduct and vrana 2 min for cross check and 2 for the Boston player that jumped Wilson. Nothing was called. Player safety will probably give him nothing or a fine. The problem with this whole situation is the players see that nothing is being called and they will continue to do these assaults on players until someone career is over or someone dies on the ice. Its going to happen it's just a matter of when.

I agree with this. Have them look at a video replay if they need help making the correct call. Isn't there supposed to be a video replay ref who alerts them when warranted? If not, they should.

They should be able to review hits like that and missed high sticking calls in real time. Hold everyone accountable for controlling themselves.

I don't think shoreorrpark believes he deserves 2-5.

Since Wilson hasn't been suspended in last 18 months the League does not consider him a "repeat offender" for purposes of any new infraction.

So any punishment delved out does not take previous suspensions into account.

Wilson should get a 5 gamer just for reputation alone and Ovie should have been suspended a game without pay for spearing that dude in the balls! I mean, watch the play. It was premeditated by Ovie and he knew exactly what he was doing. A 5,000 dollar fine is actually an insult worse than doing nothing!

He Targeted Carlo hunted him down and assaulted him and sent him to the hospital. That is assault. Oh that is part of the game. That is what fans told me. It's fine he deserves it. If player safety messes this up again which they probably will then Carlo family should sue the capitals and the NHL

Carlo had the puck so no interference, and the principle point of contact seemed to be the upper chest. His shoulder glanced off his chin but that clearly wasn't where he was going for.

Targeted head. Hit head. Repeat offender. Seems simple

Take a look at the 2nd screenshot (the one where Wilson's gloves are about to make contact with Carlo's head). He hasn't made contact with Carlo's chest at that point...the gloves to the head followed by the rest of his weight is the principal point of contact.

Not only is it a dirty hit but completely reckless. Beating a dead horse at this stage but they need to do something about this guy before he literally kills someone.
