Regarding Jay O'Brien at Boston University, what I am excited about the most about this kid, besides that he has 12 points and 6 goals in 11 games, is that he is leading the team in shots (24) which is far ahead of anyone else on the team. And his speed is quite evident when you watch him play. Joel Farabee emerged as one of the best players for BU as his first season went along, and this kid is showing similar promise. I am getting so excited about him in fact, I might even say I 'm on the fence as to whether he becomes a real impact player for the Flyers, similar to how Joel Farabee has been so far this year. |

On another note, I watched the Bruins, Islander game last night and I have to say I was completely giddy as I watched the Islanders score 5, that's right, 5 unanswered goals in the 3rd period; 4 of which they scored in about 5 minutes. This is the 3rd regulation win for the Islanders over the Bruins, so its clear they have the B's number. The main reason for this is the Bruins are a hard skating north-south team, but the Islanders have the players to stay with them. Last night the Islanders beat the Bruins to every single loose puck, they won every puck battle with numbers versus simple 1 on 1 play, and they used their speed to create many odd man rushes. I have never seen the Bruins made to look so bad by another team, and this was much more than an off night by the B's. There is a lesson to be learned here by the Flyers for sure! |

Nice hope the change and the year away served him well. Shame the season was that short for him.
Also good to see tanner l get a couple assists. Hopefully he is fully recovered and may be a call up option sooner than later. |

Wow. No cryptic acronyms today!
I know there are plenty of pictures of me in my lucky T (I was never really a jersey person). But the only ones I've seen were in slide format. Want to someday transfer all my parents slides to digital. With them stored away somewhere in their house, that ain't happening until I'm eligible for my vaccine (they should be getting theirs soon) and have a lot of time to visit them.
But I wore that T non-stop during their cup years and I grew out of it right about the time they lost to Montreal in 76. But I still have it stored away somewhere. Now that I'm thinking about it, I want to go and see if I can dig it out. |

When I was little, my dad cheered for the Nordiques so so did i. Don’t have any pics of me in any gear though. I remember the 85 playoffs where we beat out the Nordiques on the way to the final. I was mad, but loved pelle. Dad just hated the habs, and so did i. Wasn’t till 87 til I became a full fledged flyers fan. |

Is Adam Ginning a legit prospect at all or is he just bad pick at this point? Is only 21 though seems he has been around a lot longer.
What about Olle Lycksell? - login
I think Ginning will be brought over at some point, play in the AHL and see from there. I know some of the Flyers people think he'll do better on the smaller-rink game. We will see.
Lycksell remains pretty streaky/inconsistent at the SHL level. I think he's marginal at this point, although he's been hot of late. |

Some days the quote feature works on the first try.

I bet my brother still has at least one of those old jerseys - he's a saver. In my mind I can still feel the awful material they were made from. lol |

To this day I think the flyers are one of the few nhl teams that ha be a winning series record vs th mighty habs. By my count we’re 4 wins and 3 loses. 😛 |

Per Charlie O’Connor
Lines and combos:
JvR-Couturier-Farabee
Giroux-Hayes-Patrick
Lindblom-Laughton-Voracek
Raffl-Bunnaman-NAK
Provorov-Gostisbehere
Sanheim-Myers
Hagg-Gustafsson
The only "replacement" guy I see on the ice with the main group is Bunnaman. So maybe Scott Laughton and Oskar Lindblom do have a chance of playing tomorrow.
