Sorokin is exempt. Also did the Isles draft Bouldic with the Pick they got in the Hamonic deal?

Snow was good at draft day deals and the Reinhart for barzal and Beau altered this franchise in a great way

Dobson and Bolduc ain't such a bad haul

Book is still out on whether or not Iskhakov is any good, but they definitely hit big on Dobson and may have hit big on Bolduc too.

If wahlstrom can continue his play then this team has a chance to go deep again as they have 3 lines that can score and the 4th line. I will say that del colle deserves to be in the line up as a regular too. He's playing better and better and is solid on d, loved that line last night

I think Iskhakov is small for the NHL he's playing at uconn or is he overseas now?

I don’t mind MDC but I would rather him replace Clutterbuck on the 4th line and get another player with a little more offensive upside on that 3rd line with JP and Wally

Maybe that's a deadline move if there is one or an offseason move but he's still earned a spot to me

Just watched a bit of the game but why didn't pulock take a full wind up at the empty net? Also 5 shut outs in 21 games is pretty God damn good

At this point I agree. I still have hope that one day he starts scoring a few goals(no not like a lot haha) more then he is so maybe he could be a third liner I just don’t think he’s there yet.

Not trying to die on this hill, but I think he does a real good job on the forecheck and disrupting things. He's probably best suited for a 4th line role but I really don't think he's problematic at all playing on the 3rd line.

I think the hope was he could be on the 4th and bellows could score and play on the 3rd but it would appear he has fallen out of favor.

Definitely not a problem but I see him as Cal’s replacement eventually. My biggest fear is they resign Cal down the road to keep that 4th together assuming they can afford to keep Cizikas. I would love to see Martin CC and MDC as the 4th line next year. Hopefully Seattle takes Cal with a little side deal with Lou or he is able to move him and his last year for a pick

Do you guys think Ladd not even dressing in BP is a sign that maybe they will put him on LTIR at some point if they are able to bring in another player. Having him not play may make it look like he has some kind of injury 😂😂

Does seem an awful lot like Bellows isn't going to be with this organization very long

I don't know how much the league does or doesn't scrutinize the circumstances around a player being placed on LTIR but it seems like it'd be kinda hard to convince them that in between being healthy enough to play in a playoff game and this season he managed to severely injure himself

But I'm all for it

Until the cap goes up we are going to have to try to sign our own players going forward. I would like to see trades but I really dont see it with Sorokin Pelech and beauvillier needing contracts. I am really not sold on beauvillier right now. He has 18 goals two years in a row and his career high is 21. He has one goal in 12 games in an injury filled first half for beau. The Clutterbuck, Ladd Hickey contracts are really hurting this team. Islanders are at the cap ceiling now and will have to waive or trade players for draft pics at this point.

I think Sorokin is exempt and Schneider will be exposed. Not positive about Sorokin but I'm pretty sure he is.

- eichiefs9

OK, I thought each team would have to expose a goalie who actually played some NHL games during the most recent season, but I have no idea why I thought that.

Beau is streaky but at the same time still young and is a big piece of this team. He needs more consistency but I wouldn’t look to move him unless you’re getting bonafide scorer back in some kind of multiplayer deal. He was solid in the playoffs last year

The kid really hustles. His goal against the Bruins last week turned the game around.

Was thinking Schneider too. Hopefully a lot of hockey before we have to worry but was wondering. Thanks.
