It's funny. Fans always pick the worst time to complain. We've played 19 games. Got 33 to go. And ducks fans want blood. I mean change has been long over due in ducksland but my question is where was all this outrage when it mattered in the off-season. I wanted Patrick Laine. He was totally available. We could have got him. Ducks fans slept. We ended up getting shatenkirk. Not addressing the most obvious need. Goal scoring.
Now they want Eakins fired. For what I say. For having a bad record with a bad team. There are many ducks fans who praised his hiring just because he knew what Corsi was. Not that it helping him now. But where are those analytics fans now who thought he'd turn the team around using graph charts and spread sheets.
Yes a lesson must be learned from this mess. And yes Ducks fans should be angry. Because fault doesn't lie with players or coaches or even management. But fault does lie within ourselves. The fans. The fans who wanted a unproven AHL coach. The fans who never speak up before a bad contract is signed or a player that is sorely needed, isn't pursued. For asking for the impractical in the time of development. Sure we are the customer. Sure we need our entertainment. And yes. Asking is not a sin. All I say is. Ask when you can get what you want.

I think that's a poor evaluation of Ducks fans tbh. If you haven't heard the fans speak up then you're not listening or you're looking in the wrong place. The fans have been asking for change for years, even going all the way back to Carlyle 2.0, but what's the point if it falls on deaf ears?

I dont think Zegras touched the ice in OT last night and that is mind boggling to me.

It is his only 2nd game but you need to get him out there in those situations. Heres to hoping Anaheim doesn't ruin him.

I'm on Twitter,Facebook, I watch podcast and listen to am 830. Been a fan since 95. Remember watching PA Kariya rookie year. And yes they asked for change. But they always ask a the wrong time. After the problems show up.
In matter of fact I'd question your knowledge of ducksland. W
You obviously give them way to much credit.

Zegras has been a breath of fresh air. His on ice performance has been positive. I would say he came as advertised. He scored a shootout goal last night. Still he's a rookie. So Eakins has given him a short leash. But his role will grow over time. I'm not worried about him

It was maddening... He's obviously even now our most gifted offensive player... just see that shootout nugget he dropped.

I'm sure you would question my knowledge because I don't' agree with you. No, I don't think Roger Lodge is a voice for the fans. KLAA is fluff. Obviously you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but if the fans call for change when Bob rehires Carlyle, trades Theodore, extends Silf, extends Henrique, trades Cogs, trades Pettersson for Sprong then for Djoos then for nothing (sadly, the list goes on), and no one responds, how can the blame be on the fans?

On a more positive note, yes, Zegras has been quite refreshing. His skill set is off the charts.

Because fans are the the customer's. There opinion sways how franchises are run. A "win now" attitude can get franchises to make moves to try to improve a team. Dissatisfaction expressed buy fans can get coaches, Gms fired. Its all about keeping fans happy and spending money. But In This circumstance Ducks fans have been angry over the play of the team. The coaching of the team. And the overall direction of the team. All this can lead to change if done at the right time. Like say at the trade deadline. Or after the season ends when ownership evaluates.
But currently we are 19 games played with over 30 to go. We aren't even half way yet. So because of that there's little chance anything happens. Maybe after the season.
If ducks fans really want change they should speak up. That's the fault of Ducks fans. Not letting your opinions be known at the right time.

I'm not sure where the Ducks sit with the salary cap but Brett Connelly was waived by the Panthers, Perhaps he could be a fit for Anaheim.
