Maybe the media who still gives a damn about this issue won't notice? - Scabeh
You know they'll notice. They need to trace the new coach's bloodline back to Napoleon Bonaparte. Or Rocket Richard. This will work too. |

Bergevin will stay if they make the playoffs and we see the same sort of bright future we saw during the summer.
Anything less and he gets the boot.

Well the strenght of this Habs team is their depth.
They have 4 lines who, when playing the right way, can create offense and are physical enough to tire the other team out.
So yeah, I do think the Habs can do much better with someone who's willing to change what hasn't been working for two years now.
Chantal Machabée said this morning that Ducharme wanted the team to be a more aggressive team willing to play a less defensive style and his ideas were shut down by Julien.
So there you have it. Here's hoping it works. - Scabeh

Well to be perfectly honest with you.
So far, he's been inconsistant enough that putting Allen in goal more sounds like the right call.
Go with whoever is playing better in my book, right now, that's Allen.

Honestly, I don't think it will, depending on what you mean by it working.
Top teams have both star talent, and depth. You don't really contend for a cup without either one. Teams that win a cup generally have that, then lose the depth as their solid depth increases in salary. Like LA with their elite core, Kopitar, Doughty , Quick, and loads of depth like Richards, Voynov, Carter, and many more. Chicago, with guys like Kane, Keith, Toews.... And then a supporting cast of Hossa, Sharp, Byfuglien, Shaw, etc, etc..... Then slowly they lost all those names after Toews.
Starting with all kinds of depth but no high end talent, how do you get the elite talent that you need to win? |
