We really need one to stabilize. We're now out of a playoff spot although we have games in hand. Absolutely need to find a way tonight v the Rangers without the bread man.

Wonder who will get the start. I'd be ok either way. If they feel hart needs some practice time.. great. If they want to get him back in.. fine.

Just glad that he's back, and hope he's ok. We're still very shorthanded, but we need a W.

Damn skippy! There's no excuse for them to not win this... (frank) the (frank)ing rangers...

Yeah, it's gameday, baby! Back in a normal rink again where everyone, including us viewers, can see everything.

Ave atque vale, Mr. Inness. Flyers, let's go out and win one for The Inch(er)!

Elliott is the starter as long as he feels OK today. Practiced fine yesterday but AV said he tweaked something -- no detail beyond that -- a few days ago.

Thank Bill. It's great having two solid tenders.

Of note, I'd be just fine if they re signed Moose to another 1 yr contract for next year assuming he keeps up the current performance.

How funny/sad would it be to miss the playoffs? I am sure if they did the excuses will be flowing freely as to why they missed.

That being said I have little doubt the powers that be will be in the GM's ear telling him they better make the playoffs. So come a month for now who knows what moves the GM may be forced to make.

I think they'll make it, but all of these losses to Boston are going to make it interesting. There are 5 good/playoff teams in my view and one isn't going to be in the dance. Get all our players back and stabilize. Hart get some practice time, and start back into normalcy here.

I hope to God Fletch doesn't feel any pressure to make silly short term trades. Can you imagine the egg on Scott's face if Hexy and the Pens get in and we don't haha I guess it will validate the narrative that Hexy can't draft worth a poop..

Fletcher does not come across to me as a GM that makes hasty trades out of panic. With that said the games against Boston are concerning because the Flyers will have to most likely go through Boston to come out of the division and have a chance to win the cup. Right now the Flyers are not good enough, but I think they are closer than it may appear. The Flyers have yet to play the Bruins with their full lineup, and I still believe they can play with Boston at least 5 on 5. Where the Flyers are falling down against Boston is they are taking too many penalties and their PK is not good enough. Hart has also not been good against the Bruins.

I don't think the Flyers are good enough to win a cup or even come out of the East based on what I have seen so far, but I do believe they are good enough to make the playoffs. If they don't make the playoffs it would be sad, and I have to believe this would prompt a major shakeup to the roster, which may not be a bad thing at the end of the day.

if you go by points percentage, which is probably what you should go by because teams played a different number of games, they are in second place.

It is very possible they don't get in and the pens do.

Maybe I am off base imo he is def feeling pressure or he will be if they slide some more.

every year a team that wins needs to go through some sort of challenge, if the Flyers can play close to the same winning %, I am ok with the Bruins having our number. I think if they get in they might play really well vs the Bruins in the PO

I will believe that when i see it; though it should happen. They are good enough though so are numerous teams. We shall see.

Fletcher is playing with house money right now, the pressure to contend will pick up dramatically this off-season

I agree. After the expansion draft and things getting back to normal with the cap, pressure will increase exponentially.

Yes. As I mentioned, we have games in hand. Take the Bruins games out, and we're actually quite good haha 0-3-2 not going to get it done, and they have to figure out a way to compete obviously or they'll be gone in round two. Habs and Leafs must be laughing at their fortune of being able to avoid playing Tampa and Boston at all this year.. What a windfall.

At full strength the Flyers are the second best team in the division. They are 5-0 against the Pens-Isles-Caps with a +11 goal differential. Only one of those games saw Coots play a full game.

As I said, I think they'll make it. Just want to see them get everyone back, ge some practice time and put some wins together.
