That bastard Wilson hit Zibinajed pretty hard on that empty netter. I was concerned for a moment.

Wilson’s earlier hit on Strome was absolutely predatory, somebody has to take that bastard out some day.

Hey guys. I missed a few games. Is Lafreniere still on pace for 7 points this year? Is he still tied in points with a bunch of goalies? Thanks. Too busy to look it up and just curious how he's doing.

Hey fellas

I don't post very often because I'm not in the "inner circle" but I read every post on every thread. Where are you guys? When the team plays badly there are 600 posts complaining about everything under the sun. We just won a pair of road games against two of the top teams in the division. There's a lot of good things to talk about.

Quinn made some great decisions with the lines yesterday, I loved how he put out the bottom 6 and third pair for that last minute powerplay, that was a great move. Igor played well, Miller was back, Kreider, Laf and Zib scored, yeah I know it was an empty net, so what. The defense is playing really good, no one expected Bitetto & Hajak to be playing so well. Johnson's a healthy scratch, thank God. etc. etc.....

The one switch id like to see is getting Gauthier some more ice time. Maybe switch him with PDG who’s been struggling on the score sheet after a nice start (0 points in his last 8 and just 1 assist in his last 12). When Kakko comes back we’ll have to make the decision on Gauthier or Blackwell to the 4th line but I think Gauthier has the higher upside. He drew 2 penalties yesterday and hasn’t looked out of place, I think with some more ice time and Chytil coming back in a few weeks a 3rd line of Kakko Chytil Gauthier could be a nice one.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it) when Kakko comes back, I expect him to be back in the top-6. Laf likely moves back down to the third, despite him clearly having played one of his best games of the year with Panarin.

The logjam of wingers makes it difficult for Gaut to get extra time. Blackwell is just playing too well to take him out of the lineup. I could see PDG taking a breather, but I don’t think Gaut benefits from this.

Is what it is at this point. He’s going to have to really shine, rather than just play well and have “potential”, in order to get more minutes.

I hear ya. That’s our fan base

Tbh, the early games rarely get a lot of traffic. I watched late last night. Was definitely one of their best games this season.

Hajek and Bitteto should be the third line for the remainder of the season. Not only because they’ve played really well, but also for reasons associated with the expansion draft. When Trouba is healthy, I hope it’s Smith that sits (though I do think he’s played really well lately).

Why play someone based on "potential" when we have guys out there already who are clearly playing better than he is. Theres no way you play Gauthier ahead of Kakko, Buch and Blackwell. Youre talking about putting Blackwell on the 4th line? Hes been one of our best players. Blackwell has earned his spot and time in the lineup.

The type of player Gauthier is does not fit on this team as it stands.

According to Friedman the Preds could be looking at a fire sale soon. Honestly I wouldn’t mind making a run at a Filip Forsberg as a potential 2C if he becomes available.

Lol...I know he isn’t elite but I think could fit the 2C and is still just 26. He wouldn’t cost as much as trading for an Eichel or someone of that caliber. Just an idea to get some center depth
