Wonderful. The last thing Crosby needs is anymore inspiration to dismantle us more like he usually does.

Certainly in the conversation as one of the G.O.A.T.s of hockey.

Little ridiculous to be complaining about those two years , he’s got a 1000 games played for Christ’s sake. Very few go through a career unscathed

Sid is great and all but he will never be on the level of the GOAT Sergei Fedorov.

Let’s cut Orpik a break. It was an accident. Geez. Steckel’s was not. Even so, like someone already said, very few escape some kind of lengthy injury. I’m totally fine with Sid’s career. Like Mario’s as well. Glass very much half full.

I remember when people thought that it was Lowry that made Tanev look good.

I wouldn't mind Lowry for a low price. But still think we need Palmieri or another scoring winger.

- YouMeAndDupuis9

That was such lazy analysis. Tanev played 85-90% of his minutes with Lowry. 798 to 94 minutes and we were supposed to be worried about the 94 minute sample.

If the Pens could ship out McCann with picks/prospects to get him and have ANA retain around 25% I think it would be a solid move.

Question for ya; how's Filppula looking? Is he completely done or could he be a Cullen situation for the Pens?

I remember when it came out that the second injury was actually a neck injury causing concussion like symptoms. Huge sigh of relief but also wanted all the team’s medical staff sent to jail.

Filppula is cooked. Has no business playing in the NHL. Same goes for Nielsen, Helm, and Erne.

(frank) it! Pick him up, do whatever you gotta do to make it work lol. Not the best way to do things but when a Henrique or palmieri fall in your lap you gotta do what you gotta do.

I wonder though if this is just a plan for roster flexibility over the next month thinking (hoping) no one will pick him up cuz of his cap. That’s basically what mtl did with Byron. Gotta use all the tools to circumvent things that you can.

Yeah, none of those other guys really interested me, but I wasn't sure how he was still looking.

I mean if we were capable of just jamming that size of contract into our cap, it would have been infinitely better to do it with Tyler Johnson.

Rental wise Bobby Ryan and Bernier are probably the only options that make sense for the pens from DET.

Yeah. I'd definitely put a flyer out on Ryan. His scoring dried up after the first few games, but how's look away from the puck so far?

While Henrique would make a great 3c it’s probably not the best use of cap unless we are talking 50% retention.
