Carl?

Works for me.

- Powerslave

Yeah, he's only 25 and could replace Hughes, they like him but see what kind of money he gets

It's been fun already, but you are right and still players that could be signed before Wednesday Hayward

One of the Pittsburgh writers proposes a Petterson for Staal trade?

Does this make sense to anyone? Staal on an expiring deal, Petterson signed for 4 years at $4 per. ?!?

He is a LHD... so is he better or worse than McCabe? Is he a 2 or 3 LHD...

Dahlin.
Petterson
Bryson

Still not sure why Pittsburgh would do this?

Hmm. Has he fallen out of favor there?

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Steve Ott for the coach ..

and I love hall could have 15 -20 goals already just not getting the Bounces I'm very confident he will be here long term

Once we get the new system going everything should get the goals going and wins up

- gerbe75pts

That’s outta left field. Can it really be worse than Ralph? Lol. Asst with the Blues since 17-18. I’d like someone more established, finally. I’m kind of over the unproven coaches. I like how ott played, if he can instill that into the team as a coach, you can’t go wrong there.

That couldn’t be done now, could it? Which means Ralph till the end of the season? 🤢.
Please keep Jack on the shelf if that’s the case.

Analytics say nothing has changed at all for Hall. Just can’t buy a goal and is shooting at a career low shooting percentage
- Pegullaville

So gotta get him shooting more and away from the god awful defense drives offense system.

CB, TE/DE before FA starts, Beane's on a mission.
- Buff36

Why are ppl so focused on TE ?

I can’t see us throwing the ball more
It would actually make sense to actually try & run the ball more this season
If that happens, then there just aren’t targets available for a good TE
Plus, Knox can be a playmaker when he hangs on to the ball

Knox isn’t that good and Beane said they need more production from the TE position.

Draft a RB, sign a TE have an very high powered offense like KC does.

Knox is a young kid still learning how to play in the NFL
He rarely got thrown to in college bc his team had Metcalf & Aj Brown
I think he can get better

But the only way to have a TE make a BIG impact,
is to take away targets from Beasley & Gabe Davis
Seems unnecessary to me
But i guess we’ll see what happens

Out of left field ?

Pegula's thinking about hiring a former Sabres captain
As coach?

Yes, shocking.... Terry’s fan boy stiffy (no offense Gerbe) hasn’t learned after ten years. I rather Terry the business guy makes decisions, not Terry fan boy... Not learning from your past mistakes, that’s shocking.

They can't even talk to him until after the season, so that's definitely not the case.

Vogl wrote an article more of a Q and A and someone asked who he thought and his answer was Ott.

Not because of being a former Sabre but because he’s been an assistant coach for 4 years, is a former player, a no nonsense type when it comes to be prepared. Can come with an actual system and would have his teams playing hard all the time.

With Peca joining the Capitals staff I say just go Ott with Peca as an assistant.

But if what Gerbe says is true that a coach has been hired it’s either Bruce and he’s going through quarantine or it’s the Providence coach and their season is still going.

That’s what I thought. If he’a currently coaching in the nhl, he won’t be available.

That still doesn’t mean Ralph should stick around.

Believe it or not Ott has actually worked his way up the coaching ranks pretty quickly.

Housley wasn’t the right guy because he’s quiet and didn’t have the defensemen to run his system.

Ott is the anti Housley. More of a Ted Nolan type that actually has a system.

Plus you’re damn sure you wouldn’t see Cozens or Dahlin get hit like that without a big response from the team.

I don’t hate it.

Makes are offense more dangerous, gives Daboll more packages to use, opens up the seams, could actually make Beasley and Diggs more dangerous.

I can agree with these points. If he coaches how he plays, I’m down. At this point, almost anyone but Ralph. I’ll put ott at a tie for 3rd choice...

1- Gallant.
2- BBQ Bruce.
3- Boucher / Ott
4- Gronbeard
5- someone that’s not Ralph...
