The draft is total garbage this year.
- MGK

This is almost never true. A while back I saw an article about how people perceived the draft before it happened and the reality of how it played out. There will be good players, to be sure. Drafting one is quite another matter.

How desperate am I for good Sabres hockey? I've resorted to going back and rewatching Sabres playoff games from 15 years ago.

On now, Sabres/Sens, game 3, May 10, 2006.

Not really.
It certainly isn't a banner year by anymeans, but not total garbage...somewhere in the middle.

The key will be having a well staffed Scouting department to dig much deeper than before given that some leagues are shut down and those players are playing elsewhere. Scouts will need to track players differently.
So glad the Sabres dumped 3/4's of their scouting staff while aggressively pursuing a top 3 pick!

Fitz: The Pegulas are awful to work for. Several friends of mine some former some current employees have told me this.

Really good friends of mine have left on their own accord because of the toxic work environment.

They are hiring people who are kids of Terry's Penn State's buddies for jobs they are unqualified for.

The one place they haven't touched is One Bills Drive.

Most of us thought they were the best thing that happened to Buffalo, unfortunately that is not ringing true at all

I fully expect for Harbor Center to be condemned in a couple years.
Not really, but that would be hilarious!

It would be sad for the city. But I do see your angle, and the pegs sorta deserve it.

I invited 2, 4, 7 and BFO to the Alumni Plaza protest tomorrow. See you there

Or maybe not?

I'd say they need to either bring in a managing partner or a president who is willing to challenge them on their decision making.

I don't think they're willing to have their authority or their view points challenged. Frankly I don't think they ever will. As long as theirs is the only view point, this goes nowhere

- jcragcrumple

I completely agree. 👍

Hopefully they can trust someone to turn this around.

They hired krugs/ gmka because they had trust issues.

Maybe someone trustworthy and hockey smart next time

Probably nets-out to a wash when you consider the increase in franchise value...and probably will increase significantly in a couple years after this BS is behind them.

I have no sympathy for them, they'll be just fine.

- IonSabres

Imagine the write off.....

Probably been depreciating the franchise and taking losses for 10 years.

Every pegula owned entity has failed under Kim as acting President.

The only one that hasn’t is the bills

I feel bad for KA. He genuinely seems like a nice guy. The fact that they didn't get him even one AGM is brutal. They set him up for failure. Is there any other organization that doesn't have an assistant General Manager? With a rookie GM no less

I hated the hire obviously but it was never personal against Adams.

This is exactly how I thought it would play out.

He's a has 0 experience and is either -

Way over his head with limited resources or just a puppet who actually has no power.

This doesn't get mentioned enough. It gets drowned out by calls for a President. You need some experience and qualified voices somewhere, and they've opted for none at any level.

And just think, the only thing separating "Joe Caller", and his "phenomenal NHL coaching thoughts" is about a billion dollars.
