Rolston didn't have experience, ted Nolan was temporary and we were told so and Disco dan was trash.

1 coach had experience out of the last 4 and thats Byslma. Rolston came from the AHL.

All the fired trash got NHL positions as coaches and GMs? No cause they were trash

- sabresfan69

Ok

I pointed out the fact that:

Sabres hired former jack Adam's winner ted nolan as head coach. He would have had a 1 year contract if he was temporary. He tried to ruin the tank - thus fired

Stanley cup winner disco dan
And went heavy after babc0ck.

You have an opinion, but these are facts.

Maybe the "system" that has stifled literally everyone else is affecting him. Everyone sucks and you're absolving Ralph. That's wild man
- jcragcrumple

I don't care what happens to him or anyone in the organization at this point. Absolving the players over the last 10 years is insane to me. This trainwreck starts in the front office.

The Penguins fired Disco Dan because he would never change his system and his system was easy to play against when teams figured it out.

Penguins fans and their current blogger warned Sabres fans of that, and they were right.

Kuemper would’ve been a nice 1A 😁😁😁
- jdfitz77

you see they haven't moved him'

the team would have been better burying hutton in ahl, not signing hall and trade for kuemper if he was available

happy?

69 didnt say " sabres haven't hired a coach the penguins fan's and bloggers didn't like"

He said experienced coach. Nolan also was experienced.
Jack Adam's winner

Bylsma fit that profile. Stanley cup ring is proof of nhl coaching experience.

Yes, they were terrible coaches. All 5 , including garden gloves.

cup winning coach doesn't mean much

only bowman won cups with multiple teams in the last 55 years

and of course he did not win one in buffalo

When Nolan was hired he was hired with the intention of being temporary. You talk about facts but that is the fact. Went heavy after babcock is meaningless because he was never hired. Since when is going after a coach that was never hired considered in the pool with the other coaches? Was he a sabres coach? NO.

Random observations

- We'll always remember that one game vs. Tampa and the first 15 games of this year when Risto was everything we hoped he would be
- I am the last one off of the Ollofson wagon. He really isn't a good hockey player. That said part is that I think he is actually trying hard.
- Mountour has been our best D for the last 10 games
- The fastest way to getting good is to get 9 and 26 going again and build from there. It won't happen under this coach but it can happen under another. I just hope the next 30+ games isn't that much more damaging.

Bylsma won the cup using the previous coaches system. The next year he put in his own system and got fired.

He brought that system here and got fired.

Than why is everyone making a big deal about the pegula's hiring rookie coaches?

Get a coach that wins alot, but not the Stanley cup ?

Because, " it doesnt mean much"

Pegulas never hire experienced coaches.

34 Well they did go after babc0ck.
69 Nope doesnt count

34 Well they did hire jack Adam's award winner ted nolan
69 Nope it's a fact he was a one year hire.

34 They hired disco dan, that guy won it all

doesn't matter

sheahan, rieder and irwin will not be on the roster next season

they will still be getting minutes this season over kids that deserve a shot

Finally makes sense to BO Okposo this summer. Against the cap, he's 5, 3, 1, 1. Bring in an intelligent low key signing like the Panthers did, you've got 1M cap hit, added to Okposo's 5 and basically you have better play for the same cap (6 total). Then 3, 1 and 1 in the following years is obviously worth it. Reider is hardly the worst thing on this team. I contest Eakin (outside of Okposo), with his ineffectiveness in everything except the PK coupled with his multiyear, 1+M salary.
