I would consider it for someone like Byfield.

I think it’s highly unlikely Dahlin ends up not being very, very good, but I think it’s almost as unlikely at this point he becomes generationally great

- sbroads24

That may be true (he's still only 20), but what is that worth? Even if he isn't Hedman he would still be a very good #1D in this league and those are hard to come by.

As long as he’s very very good for 14 years, I’d take it over shipping him off. Generational really comes down to that imo. Being tops in the league for a really really long time

The more I research matthew beniers the less I want him sounds like a mix of "Girgensons / Reinhart"

Jack with Hall and Cozens today. Cozens is about the only guy with any jump on the team - it should be interesting if he rubs off on Jack.

(I just realized that sounded really bad)

- Slump Buster

He played that trio last game, third period i believe. Methinks that might be about the only thing woth watching today

Ralphie has no comment on Adams presser yesterday. The more I think about it the more it seems that the presser was a big FU to Ralph.

I think Ralph walks away for health reasons, he looks dead in most interviews.

Agreed, and 6’4 Uber talented centers like Byfield are too.

My blow up the team trade scenarios would look something like

Dahlin to LA for Byfield

Eichel to COL for Bowen Byram, and Rantanen

Reinhart to team X for a first and prospect

Because it interests me, not because I think there is a high likelihood of it happening soon...

My framework for trade return...
I) Top "A" Prospect at C, with high potential as 1C
II) "A" Prospect at RW or D, with Top 6/Top4 potential
III) Unprotected 2021-1st
IV) Veteran roster player with 3 years left on reasonable contract, preferrably at C or RW

I realize I may need to add something of relative value, to garner all 4, or negotiate down on the IV

As an example with the Kings:
I) Prefer Byfield, Acceptable is Valardi or Turcott
II) Bjorfot
III) 2021-1st...currently 15th (relatively weaker value than desired)
IV) Kempe, Iafello

Speaking of dumb :
Hey, let's just change the way the nhl keeps stats, because the 2021 Sabres don't score.

Dahlin has been terrible.
He wasnt good last year either

I think just about everyone has looked worse under Ralph. It can't be a coincidence.

Dahlin had his best stretch of the year while 55 was out. We all know that they play terrible together.

I have 0 idea what you’re even talking about

It’s really stupid to point out +/- because the Sabres don’t give any of their defensemen the opportunity to get +‘s. So yes, it’s dumb.

Quinn Hughes has been on the ice for 12 more goals against than Dahlin. 12 more

Dylan Cozens will play on the top line Saturday with Jack Eichel and Taylor Hall.
The Sabres need something to get them out of their funk and putting the 20-year-old Cozens on the top line may just do the trick. Cozens has three goals and an assist in 16 games this season, his first in the NHL after going seventh overall in the 2019 Draft. He should be on a roster in all dynasty leagues.
