At this point, I think it's clear that they've got to make a coaching change, just to try and save whatever face they may have left.

Anyone remember the losing streak Lindy and the boys were on when Darcy literally came walking up his front walkway that day?

It was the shortened season, wasn't it? Didn't they win their 1st game and then lost their next 5 or 6, something like that?

We're getting dangerously close to having to witness a Wings-esq roster. No one of prominence is going to want to touch this place with a 1000' pole. It'll be prospects and has beens.

(frank) it might actually be a better team. Teddy Nolan, part 3.

That team was supposed to be that bad...

This Sabres team was supposed to be a borderline playoff team, not a lottery team

Man, I could've sworn they lost more than that, but you may be right.

The losing streak just seemed like it lasted forever, to the point where Lindy told Darcy, "I know" (or something to that effect) when he saw him walking up his front steps.

As much as Darcy had his faults, I always respected him for going to Ruff's house that day.

Maybe Kevin doesn't know Ralph's address. 😁

When all was said and done, Darcy was a good GM. He wasn't a great one by any means but he was more than competent at his job. His problem was that he couldn't take the team any further than he did.

Pegulas gonna wake up today and ask for an investigation on which captains talked to Graham.
9:40 AM 05 Mar 21

Now, while this tweet is entertaining and within the realms of possible, I want to point out a bigger issue.

This org, the Pegulas, have gone to great lengths to censure negative media on occasions regarding the Sabres and Bills. They yelled at WGR to not air Duane. They yell at the hosts if the questions become too difficult for the coach. They immediately try to dispel rumors of sale. And they've complained about Graham in the past for digging too deep to expose them. And I bet they will again.

If they used a fraction of the energy they spend trying to paint rainbows on dog sh1t, on the success of this team, the Sabres would be at the top of the league.

He was the anti-Botts.

He could put together a team on a shoe string budget. But his drafting was an atrocity post 2005. And it did him in.

Didn't the Pegulas rescind the press passes of the Athletic this year?

I swear I remember reading that somewhere

He endeared himself to me the night he went apesh!t in the press box replay booth when Leclair's shot went thru the side of the net. I'd never seen that kind of emotion come from Darcy up until then. It was great to see.

I really don't know, but I do not believe that to be true.

What I do know is that they'd be taken to court for that.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

They certainly don't like it when people go digging into their affairs and how they run things.
