Crosby and Malkin can be extremely hard to play against.

That's just it - be hard to play against because you are good at hockey.

You’re going to have a blast running around an empty arena cheering on a losing franchise.

I'm 50/50 on attending.

Part of me wants to "teach the pegulas a lesson"

The other part of me hasn't been on a plane / travel hockey tournament/ restaurant in a year.

This misery needs to end at some point. Want to drive my head thru a wall!

5/10 on that list is currently on the sabres roster. Embarrassing. Once this year ends we will have another record. Longest playoff drought.

Cant wait till Fitz comes on here and tells everyone to calm down and step off the ledge. That list speaks for itself

He said we keep running superstars out of town. Which ones?
- ZiggyBuff

Good question.

Ror - maybe?

Hardly a superstar. Tyrod ? Ek9? πŸ€”

Think the last 10 cup winners say you need a little bit of everything. Talent, grit, Heart, Willing to play out of your comfort zone, hot goaltender. Even Pittsburgh with all the talent had grity tough players.

Ruben Brown played 8 years for the bills

7 pro bowls

got another pro bowl with bears

I think he is the second most deserving bill for hall of fame, behind tasker

- homiedclown

False start, #79

Loved Reuben, but that was the season ticket holder joke.

They need their supposed superstars to start playing like superstars, and that also means said superstars doing whatever it takes to win.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we have too many of that type of player.

All true. And later on when Pittsburgh didn't win cups they made the mistake of trying to chase toughness. The core was the same so they just went out and got some knuckledraggers.

All I ask is that when the Pegulas make a horrible trade that will inevitably blow up in their face, they need to ask for the smallest prospect available on the other team. That way we can have the tall spinning idiot from the terrific ROR trade and a funny little 5'2" hopping idiot from the Eichel trade. We can call them laurel and hardy
- jcragcrumple

You clearly don’t understand synergy. What makes a good hockey trade is height!

Tage- 6’6”. Berglund- 6’4”.

Which means the center piece of the trade has to be Logan brown.

If someone actually suggested this SERIOUSLY, then don't bother even debating w them.

I think most of us can agree that you need a very skilled lineup w some grit (and if a couple players bring both, you've hit the jackpot) to win when it counts.

Like someone said earlier, players playing out of character helps, too.

We need Toughness Wilson is a very good player and hard to play against.

I am not asking for per say total facepunchers, players to work the dirty areas say Kunitz, Hornquist make life miserable but can play, but will do anything to win. IMO you need your Eichel's Rhino Skinner's but also your Foligno's, Dumont's, Clutterbuck's

I don't think anyone disagrees with you. You don't trade quality assets (let alone your best player) to get this.

They do, and the fact that you say this disproves everything you've said today. They built their roster on young, fast, cheap players. Did they sprinkle in other stuff later? Sure, after they had the other stuff.

I like Tom Wilson. I think the suggested trade was ludicrous.
