I am done with the excuses for this team not to win

jack's not sure if he is working at an ice cream station or as a bakery with the floats and turnovers this year

do they have to trade him, no
should they listen to offers, yes

I still say it's an offseason move if anything

- homiedclown

I dont want these morons anywhere near an Eichel trade. Hopefully the rumors are true and the Pegulas are looking to sell. That person should fire everyone and bring in real people. Tell Eichel you will move him in 2022 if he wants out but that they need to get real people in the building before then

If that was the case why did the fan base want him out at that time? It's the same nonsense here. People aren't considered to be "one of the greatest" until they win. He didn't win for a long time.
- Slump Buster

People are just starved for a winner. I get it. We all female dog and moan and grown about the team and yet we all know that 99.9% of us every game day will still sit down and watch them because we love our team...

This team needs a hard nosed no nonsense coach. I would skate the shat out of this team if I was the coach.

Perhaps paying the bonus would have gotten us the better return that some have alluded to.

Demanding Kyrou or Thomas back in that deal and using the cap space more effectively would have helped too.

We were in a tough spot when ROR was still here. We were still stuck in the basement and because of crappy drafting and personnel decisions we had no depth at all to speak of.

Trading ROR should have been able to replenish that depth.

In a sense we don’t get Cozens without moving ROR but obviously Tage is a lost cause and we do not know what we have in Ryan Johnson yet.

team has quit so badly, they don't even realize skinner needs a stick while they are day dreaming on the bench
- homiedclown

The talent quit on the coach and organization very early on. This covid season and long wait to finally play only to remember how poorly run the franchise is.

Cozens is showing heart and the vets are numb because they know that no matter what they do management will fail them.

If they had a bully early on to keep the passion up in the room and focus on just the game at hand it might’ve been different, instead they leaned on Okposo and Girgs to fill those roles.

All of these posts today are all hitting the nail on the head, the players knew it early, it’s a liquidation year so the Pegulas can maintain their lifestyle. Terry is trimming the fat, getting ready to dump the large and long term contracts. Kim and Kevyn don’t even pay attention.

He’ll more than double his initial investment and go back to drilling, the world still needs oil.

Yup keep Eichel, Cozens, Dahlin as the core as previously stated on here......

Oh wait dont forget about Okposo, Skinner, Girgs, Eakin, Tage......

Whos taking any of those players? Im not forcing a Eichel trade but how do you change the identity of this team without that.....

They suck. But you only trade if your getting one of

Byfield/Aho/Lafreniere/Zegras/Larkin/Hughes/cerelli

Plus a for sure second piece back in the trade. We need to rebuild anyway in our opinion.

Trade Risto, Montour, hall, Reinhart

Have your new young core 23 and under.

My thought on Eichel is that he has a sports hernia. He was said to be hurt during the offseason. You can play with one but it's difficult. I don't know, just guessing. If he had surgery for it before the season, he may not have played this year. It could explain why his skating isn't as explosive.

%💯0 skinner agree with this post.

I like risto, but he has the most trade value, aside from jack.

Imagine a true playoff team adding risto as a 2/3 defenseman

You think the SAbres can survive another ROR fiasco.
The Sabres got 4 pieces.

2 of those 5 are gone in Berglund and Soboka
Thompson is awful he will be gone within a year
The first round pick is looking more and more like a 5-7 d-man.

So either way we are f*cked the next 2 years.......

Whats the path out of this hell? We are riddled with bad contracts.

Reinharts having a good year. Sign him. Risto looks good. Re-up his contract. Uggg the defense had not looked the same without Mccabe. Sign him now!!!

See how this goes. All of a sudden we have the same team. Its has not worked for 10 years and wont.

Wasn't this part of what Eric Staal was supposed to bring? Tireless work ethic from a veteran presence?

None of it matters when the coach employs an emotionless style of hockey

Cal Clutterbuck would look like Cody Eakin here

- sbroads24

This is a fact, and it has absolutely drained the players enjoyment of the game.

Players talk about all the time about momentum from a good play, scoring a TD, an interception, a dirty goal, a fight.

There's no transition game. There's no "plays". Ralph has neutered the entire team, and scoring goals has become a coincidence instead of an objective. It's a (frank)ing joke, it's an embarrassment, and the owners of the team should feel nothing but shame. banana eaters.

I don't even watch the god damn games anymore. My life has flourished, but it's like the sting of 'the one that got away', except it has lasted for 10 (frank)ing years.

(frank) YOU RALPH, TERRY AND KIM YOU (frank)ING PILES OF DOGpoop.

Hypothetically, another loooser team like the rangers, devils or kings would make more sense in the offseason.

What if a gm fighting for his job, wants to overpay?
Last grasp attempt?

What if we wait for the kracken to claim jeff skimmer and we move eichel there, for a haul?

Depending on their talent pool.

Obviously I would like a great young center in return.
