How can you sit here and say we don't need a couple, LEGITIMATE role players on this team to mesh with all this lifeless high end talent?

Give me a Clutterbuck.

- Powerslave

We watched Cozens get in a fight yesterday.

The fanbase was fired up sure.

The Sabres got 2 shots after the fight. "But played some of their best and inspired hockey" according to the
coach
SO sure go get Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck.

They are not changing anything with this team when the coach and upper management are so flawed.

- Michael Pachla

Not with Kim Adams and Ralph in charge. What they think will be “over payment” will be Tage 2.0. ... “we clearly got the taller players in the trade.”

Boston and Dallas agreed to a seven-player trade Thursday, with the Bruins sending forward Tyler Seguin, forward Rich Peverley and defenseman Ryan Button to the Stars for forward Loui Eriksson and three prospects (Joseph Morrow, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser).

Four years later, the Bruins officially have nothing left from the Seguin trade

What about this situation would lead you to believe the Sabres could successfully manage the most important trade maybe in franchise history?

No I literally can.

Eichel gets in fight like everyone wanted.
Sabres go on to win 3 of their next 10 games.

Cozens drops them yesterday. the Sabres get two shots against an awful NYR team.

they are fundamentally flawed. That doesn't change until the top changes

For years Red Wings fans said that "we haven't won anything with Yzerman". But their management was smart enough not to move him. You are pretty much guaranteed to make a mistake by trading a young star.

For the trade Jack Eichel crowd. That is what you should expect.

I'm not disputing your points on the coach.

I still do think we need some LIFE on this team, and when a guy like Clutterbuck goes over the boards, he's not only breathing life into your team and maybe popping in a goal here and there, but he's also giving skill players more space and courage to do their thing.

But again, I'd like to see a real coach get a chance w this skilled group before we blow it up.

But you were previously. I just want to know why anyone would want to give this group the opportunity to do that. There is nothing in their track record to assume this will be anything other than a disaster

That's not the point, it's not even about fighting, it's about being tougher to play against. Giving other players confidence and playing out of character.

Yzerman would go through a wall to win.

You see that from Jack? He pouts.

(not saying I want him gone, per se. Just don't compare one of the greatest NHL captains ever to Eichel)
