I think the Leafs put it all together tonight and play a really solid defensive game.

really Curious what the Leafs thoughts and plans long term for Dermott/Sandin/Lilypad are.

They are really taking time with them all, I would have thought one of them could have made thier way into a fulltime top 6 role...but none really have

The Leafs actually won by a lot. They're doing things the likes of which we've never seen before.

Honestly I'm sick of all the winning.

Yes, of course.. I assumed that went without saying.. Nylander is to blame for everyone's struggles... Including Andersen...

If Willy wasn't so gosh darn good looking, it would be easier for Freddy to concentrate

So what's your big hurry. Can't say we've had any D man that needs to sit out. And from what I've seen from Letohen, I'd put him in the lineup any night. Really good on the PP so far. It's not like we have any Marincins that need to be come out.

Maybe Dermott will be claimed by Seattle, Rielly will be traded for some stuff and things.. Liljegren will replace Bogosian next season

Hmmmm yeah I dunno, I got willie picked in my Tim Hortons reward picks for the evening and I'm on fire there lately. More than likely means a goal for Willie. 🤷🏻‍♂️

At this point it is very likely that Dermott goes unclaimed by Seattle and we lose Holl. Unless we make a deal to influence them to take Dermott or Engvall instead. If we lose Holl, a door will open for sure next year and one of those three will likely have to step into the top 4 role. Bogosian will likely not resign here. His career will either get back on track and he'll be too expensive, or he'll bottom out and we won't want him either. So far I think he's worth more than his $1m price tag.

That would leave room on the third pairing. This is the thing - there are a bunch of guys who will either fall to around $1m in salary or will be worth about $1m in salary (guys like TVR or Ceci or whatever). There's something in all three of their games that makes the Leafs' management team get fledgling talent (Lehtonen, Bogosian, Ceci, Gravel, Ozhiganov, and so on) to compete with them, and there's something about all three of their games that the fledgling talent beats out.

Sandin, Liljegren and Dermott are either ready or they're not - but unless we want to lose them to waivers, next year is basically it for Lilly and Dermott. I think it's also time to jump in with both feet with Sandin as well. You can only elevate your game so much playing against the same level of competition.

I think we are already triggered... If Leafs win 4-1 but that 1 goal against is a weak one, we'll all be pissed at Freddy.
