Matt Ross: Panthers vs Hurricanes

The old SouthLeast division rivalry renewed for this season. The former Southeast division would be one of the toughest in the league nowadays. Looking forward to seeing Vinny play, he’s been putting up points to start the season. This is the first meeting since the trade last year. It will be a little strange to see him in the Canes jersey. Trocheck was at his best when he seemed to have a little chip on his shoulder, I expect to see that Vinny going tonight.
Hopefully there’s no let down after the 3 games vs TB.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I was never a big fan of Trocheck’s game. Great motor/tenacity in the beginning, but I think injuries took their toll (which he can’t help), and I think he also became complacent.

Feel like the trade was good for him and the Cats.

You could definitely see how the injuries had hampered Trocheck even when he first arrived in Raleigh.

He's a totally different player today then he was when he landed though. Dude is everywhere, in everyone's face, surprising opponents with just how aggressive he is.

He says he feels 100% healthy for the first time in years and it shows. Dude is a menace out there.

He was definitely better, imo, before he made the all star team. His game seemed to drop off somewhat even before injuries. The injuries really set him back, though, without his speed/agility he struggled badly. It’s funny, I thought Vinny would be a guy that Q would love, but apparently that thought was way off.

Ha my wife is of the simpler variety she has more fun saying the names. Juho was one she learned tonight shes also recently discoveres radko gudas she enjoys saying that name as well
