The San Jose Sharks are a terrible excuse for an NHL team, Doug Wilson and Boughner have to go as does Marleau. EMBARRASING!!!!!!

Marleau's been fine for a depth player.

I'm not sure if Boughner is necessarily a bad head coach - but I think the Sharks needed a more definitive split from the Deboer era.

It's not the Deboer problem, it's the Crappy talent that Doug Wilson has been collecting via Trades or Drafting. 1 year they want a speed team, then it's a Big puck controling team, they need to have 1 plan in place & go with it. Wilson's time has run it's course. The Sharks are a Country Club & have always been 1. As for DeBoer just look how Vegas is playing & the TALENT they have.

Meh. Deboer's a pretty good coach. Not great, but good.

My point was more that *this team*, the current Sharks group, needed a more defined break from Deboers influence.

That said, hard to argue if a, Laviolette, or another coach would have made a big difference or a minor difference. What I do absolutely believe, is that Boughner was NEVER going to make a major impact on this team.

I'd also argue that the current roster has talent but it's just flawed; they're missing some key components and they're not "gelling". They're really limited to mostly complimentary players. There's no 2010 Joe Thornton out there to control the puck in the offensive zone.

Tavares was plan A. Plan A fell through and we ended up with Karlsson, who's supposed to be controlling play from the blue line.

Most people raved how Wilson fleeced Ottawa with that trade. And at times that first season Karlsson did look great. Unfortunately, Wilson's faith in Karlsson looks misplaced and he (Karlsson) is failing miserably at controlling play, creating offense, running the PP.
