@Vic from last blog. If they fire Sullivan I'm pretty sure they're still on the hook to pay his full salary until end of contract. I could be wrong. If I'm not, then where I was coming from is that the Pens being financially strapped might not want to pay another coach.

Oh I think it was growing...how could it not with way things have gone the past few playoffs. No way ownership was happy with not getting out of first round when fans were allowed there. Major money missed out on because of that Isles sweep . Then last year they didn't technically make it in.

RW implying GMJR walked into an easy situation has a very different recollection of the situation. Yes the core pieces were there, but they had been for a while and hadn't sniffed a 2nd Cup. GMJR did a lot to overhaul the Pens into what they became.
