Giroux and TK on Patrick’s line, eh?
They’re really trying to get a spark outta that kid. Here’s hoping. |

Bill Meltzer: Flyers Gameday: 1/26/21 @ NJ - bmeltzer
Gus is sitting for Ghost! Thank god! That’s the right choice! Not only does Gus deserve to sit, I have no faith in Gus and Ghost in the line up together.
The lines are interesting though.
Good luck to Elliott tonight. He’s gonna need it |

Here is to hoping they do not get smoked tonight. - corduroy
That's what I am hoping. NJ always gives them fits, and they have started well.
Hope Ghost is ready.. getting thrown into the fire. |

Imagine they stripped this man of the C before this milestone? Some of the people on here are downright ridiculous. |

On an all-time basis, Philadelphia owns a record of 89-98-12 record plus 15 ties (pre-2005) in regular season games against the Devils.
The fact that the Flyers have a losing record is hard to believe, given how much better overall they were than the Scouts/Rockies/Devils until the late '80s. |

I noticed that too. We must have handled them in the 80s you'd think, but man, they've owned us from 94 on.. Even when they're rebuilding, we have trouble with them.. especially in NJ.. I bet we're 30 games below .500 in their rink. |

That would be great! Give the C to someone from the phantoms!

I debate even watching the games against Jersey, just something about them. Awful to watch and we seem to stink. |

I agree. There are still so many of these games that are insanely boring to watch. Even if we win.. |

I agree. I always forget how integral he is to this team. The wheels seem to fall off when he gets hurt.. and especially this year. I just want them to put some good efforts together and garner some points. If we go 0 for the next say week or so, we could be buried already. |

If Friedman has another bad game, I wonder if it makes sense to give Zamula a shot versus re-inserting Gust. I am not expecting a lot from Ghost tonight, hopefully he can just keep it simple and be in position most of the night. Even with Myers back at some point, I still think our backend lacks a physical element, especially in the slot area, thus wondering if Zamula could add that element. I didn't notice him much in camp so I am not sure what type of player he is, but given his size I would hope he likes to use it to his advantage. |

Wasn’t the talk all of camp that regardless of his size, he was not NHL battle ready if you will? |

Could Morin be any worse back there then Friedman? At least we would have some physicality back there which we need. Defense are to soft in our end. |

Anyone else see these reports that Laine was “bullied” in WPG? |

Isn't it interesting that I think most of us would agree that the wheels do tend to fall off when Coots is not in the lineup, thus should we consider Coots to be the most important player on this team?

I didn't hear that, but then again I wasn't paying attention at that level of detail either. Even so, there is really only one way to get NHL battle ready, and that is suit up the armor and get out there and fight.

Apparently the answer to this question is "yes he can". What a waste of a top 15 pick! |
