Dermott with 10:31 of ice time last night.

He's now the 6th defenceman, and the 7th defenceman is right behind him, flashing his lights.

And Konecny with a hattie the other day.

Leafs haterz will say it was a dumb move by Dubas and Co, but they forget we also got Bracco out of the deal.

I like the joke, but if we're being real the Leafs would have either picked Dermott there or gone with Juulsen or Larsson. They clearly wanted a defender there.

Maybe we should pop in there and tell them all about our perceived shortcomings of their team

How could they not see their team taking a step back. I laugh at the idiots who thought "Winning a round" meant they were ahead of the other Canadian teams. They got worse in the offseason.

Thus far, the division looks worse than I thought it would be.

So Dubas hates size, but Babcock refused to play Matt Martin and Justin Holl.. And boy it took him awhile to warm up to Muzzin even

standing up for Andersen was huge.. Andersen was solid after that.. I think we are seeing a Leafs team that is not afraid to push back anymore

This is where guys like Simmonds and Bogo will make the most difference... when they see one of their teammates get pushed around they’ll be the first to ask “why are you letting them do that?”

Crazy blocking those quick 1 timers, I wonder how his leg feels today...he kind of blocked it sideways with the shin pad.

It’s early, but let’s hope it continues.

I agree.. I would even add Jumbo Joe to the list... Matthews and Marner seem to be playing a bit more physical too

True but it's our big 4 that will bring us to that next level. What team can match Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares? Tampa and that's it.

It's good to see... I've been happy with Brodie as well... I do wish Rielly would be better defensively but overall the team defence was better the past 2 games.

Brodie is so much better than the poop we've seen the past 3 years with Rielly

A little bit early to be writing off any team.

I see 6 teams finishing very, very closely to each other.

Let's not get too cocky just yet.
