I think I just believe the goalie has to bail out the D, be consistent and, at times, extraordinary for a team to REALLY win and get the Cup.

PS, I'm not advocating trading Andersen unless they have a sure thing to replace him....I just want Keefe to ride the hot goalie for a change. I hate riding the mediocre goalie hoping that he finds his game. I think Campbell is a 1b that can handle more time and push Andersen.

That’s more than a rebound issue....I realize the defence has been brutal but it’s not entirely to blame...as for rebound control absolutely it needs to be better... half the time that’s what starts the defence scrambling in the first place

Very Reimer-esque. Then again, letting in softies at inopportune times is very Bernier-esque.
I wish there were people with a middle-ground to Freddy. The first couple years here he was a goddamn stud. Consistently faced the most shots and had really good stats. But he has definitely faltered the past year and a bit, with a similar defensively inept team in front of him.
He went from a legit top 5-10 starter to a slightly below average starter. This season is a bad sign so far. He needs to find a groove or we're (frank)ed. This team doesn't have the right makeup to bail out a goalie.

Ya I noticed that last night. We he's on his game he's calm and good with positioning...but last night, he was swimming all over the place.

I mean, it could just be new people, new systems that he needs to get use to combined with his terrible start habit....which is why....

Kinda wish Leafs would try the "ride the hot goalie" for once. Babs didn't do that either...when we had McIll. (I'm glad he didn't do it with Sparks or Hutch )
