Good point....what amendment is that again? Or is that the Twig and Berries Resolution of 1969?

Lost Passwords Lock Millionaires Out of Their Bitcoin Fortunes

Stefan Thomas, a German-born programmer living in San Francisco, has two guesses left to figure out a password that is worth, as of this week, about $220 million.

The password will let him unlock a small hard drive, known as an IronKey, which contains the private keys to a digital wallet that holds 7,002 Bitcoin. While the price of Bitcoin dropped sharply on Monday, it is still up more than 50 percent from just a month ago, when it passed its previous all-time high of around $20,000.

The problem is that Mr. Thomas years ago lost the paper where he wrote down the password for his IronKey, which gives users 10 guesses before it seizes up and encrypts its contents forever.

I really hope the password turns out to be ABCD1234

Edit: poop, I just gave away my passwords

This is why you use the same password, or slight variations on it, for everything. If I forget a password, I know it'll be one of the variants that I can try, definitely within 10 attempts. I wonder when this guy fails on his last attempt if he'll achieve enlightenment. He could think about selling the drive with a list of possible words he's tried and let people take a shot.

Blockchain is cool, but bitcoin and tesla are both gonna crash like a Burkie Leaf team soon enough.

So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking.

So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Speaking of which, Bruce Willis movie - Die Choking

Bruce Willis asked to leave store for ‘refusing’ to wear a mask

He’d rather live free.

Bruce Willis was asked to leave a Los Angeles Rite Aid on Monday after he refused to wear a mask, a spy tells Page Six.

The spy says people inside the store became upset that Willis, 65, wasn’t wearing a mask — despite having a bandanna tied around his neck, which he could have easily pulled up.

We’re told the “Die Hard” star, who was photographed at the store without a mask on, walked away without making his purchase.

A rep for Willis didn’t return Page Six’s request for comment.

Los Angeles County, the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis in California, has surpassed 10,000 COVID-19 deaths.

The sequel to Get Shorty, Be Cool, is like that. In book and movie form. It's like making a sequel to Big Lebowski.

I never watched any of the Silence of The Lambs sequels. I called bullpoop on that.

The Silence of the Lambs was itself a sequel, and it was franking terrible.

The original Manhunter is awesome, and the original Dr. Hannibal Lecter is 1000 times scarier than Anthony Overacting Hopkins.

I did see Manhunter, and it was good. Your take on Silence though...makes me feel we should rescue Uncle Leo from waivers like a half-lasagna from your garbage can.

Oops

Breaking news on
@CNN
Key organizer of Capitol protest, Ali Alexander, says he was getting inside help from 3 members of congress.

“It was to build momentum and pressure and then on the day change hearts and minds of Congress peoples who weren’t yet decided or who saw everyone outside and said, ‘I can't be on the other side of that mob.’ ”

When we find out who those three traitors are, we should form a mob, march on the Capitol Building, storm it...

...no wait, scrap that idea.
