Just saw the Stars had staff/players test positive for COVID. Won't be playing a game until at least the 19th.

Thanks. Just wondering if there were any lingering/delayed effects from the hit.

Did that Patrick line show any chemistry? I thought they tried that before without it sticking. Patty played the best with Oscar and tk from what I remember. But looks like av is close to having his open night roster. Jake always plays well with g, so could see either of the wings flip flopping.

It was said that Gus and Haag are good friends. I wonder if that will translate to them playing well together.

Patrick line was clicking on Wed. Quiet day today. But the Hayes and Couturier lines were both really good today and on Wed.

Nice. I think we have a good 4 th line in raff Scott and NAK. The potential to eat good minutes and chip in offense, good legs, hard checking and defensively responsible.

Bill since it’s slow. Who would be your comparison to York’s game? Thanks.

The top 2 lines I like the mix and chemistry, but that JvR-Patrick-Voracek line better be dynamite offensively or it could mean big trouble. Hopefully it can become a cycle possession line because otherwise it's going to be outworked and give up a lot of goals.

Anyone have any insight on the re-signing of John Marino for Pittsburgh?

56 career NHL games and he gets a 6 year extension for 4.4m per...just absolutely CRAZY.

Rutherford could seriously be one of the worst GMs when it comes to re-signing depth players.

I am pretty shocked they signed Morino for 6 years after an average to slightly better play in his first year. Rutherford could be a genius or screw them over for the next 6 years. If he is that good Edm gave him away for a 6th round pick.

In other news... Mike Sullivan said Kapanen is scheduled to arrive in Pittsburgh Saturday, and go through COVID protocol - about an 8 process before he skates with the team.

Re: all the changes in broadcasting (Bundy, Emmers not Clement) I have been reading about, what was the motivation for Comcast? Different voices? Cost-cutting? Management strategy?

Sorry if I missed something...

I have a deep fondness for Gudel (I loved the warble in her voice) and Hartman and gang, some of which is probably due to the fact that I was young and that show was on throughout the evening even as I did other things.

But if I understand correctly, people just stopped watching that kind of show. Sooo... how does that relate to replacing Emmers with Hatcher and Bundy with Hartsy?

Regarding the Stars, why would they not just isolate it and have whoever is not positive playing/practicing. Obviously not saying tomorrow but after a few days of testing I’d think you can see who does and who does not .

According to the Twitterverse, Bill Clement has retired.

Shame - he was a good one.

I want us to sign a player that doesn’t say the word “obviously” every other sentence in interviews. Not everything is obvious.

Lindblom - Couturier - Konecny
JVR - Patrick - Voracek
Giroux - Hayes - Farabee
Raffl/Frost - Laughton - NAK

Provorov - Gostisbehere
Sanheim - Myers
Hägg - Gustafsson/Braun

Hart
Elliott

I am relieved that Sanheim and Myers weren’t split. Still concerned with the top pair. Wonder who will have a better season, Ghost or Gus.

Does this look about right?
