Cap space and length of contract are equally important. I would pay more on a one year contract than I would pay per year on a 2 year contract.

Could Dizingle be dealt to NJ or LA or Nashville? Better have that in place 1st!

Meh. The roster has enough maybes and half measures. If there wasn't Neidereitter and Dzingel wasting roster and cap space then maybe. No need for another. If it were me, I'd attempt to deal Dzingel, Neidereitter, and/or Gardiner for nothing but cap space, then move a D for a legitimate top 6 F with no question marks. Easier said than done of course. Would be nice to still have Saarela and/or Gauthier around and let them and Neids/Dzingel compete for a top 6 spot.
