You know me, I like prospects but some quality hockey would be nice. Watching Sweden, NCAA, Russian, Czech games are fine but there's just a difference between NHL talent, players that have got used to the league, and the bums.

WJ's would just be a nice fit before the season starts.

We all know a lot of people will get together with their family and friends to watch the games though.

- manvanfan

It would be nice to have something before NHL starts. Even NFL is getting tough to watch. Although the Seahawks won...Eagles offense sure made the Seahawks D look good for a change lol

Ya, I didn't even bother to watch Denver play with no QB's last week. Stupid that the NFL moved the Baltimore game so many times but not the Denver game.

I listened to this album A LOT, but going back to the concert stories... saw them open for The Cult in ‘87 at the Pacific Coliseum. My buddy and I were there with a couple girls who stayed in our seats while we went down to the floor, front and center for GnR. They were bad. At one point near the end of their set Axel took off his trademark bandana and threw it into the crowd only to have the fan throw it back up on stage. The Cult however was amazing, so it was a great night!

Now that's a great story. My GNR story is limited to one experience when they opened for Maiden in Calgary on the Seventh Son tour in the late 80's. And it wasn't a good experience. Someone in the crowd pissed off AXL and after the 4-5th song Axl jumped into the crowd and started pounding people lol. GnR left right after and to be honest they sucked live. But, after the show my brother and I were at 'Ye Old Pizza Joint' in Calgary on 16 ave after and Axl and his entourage were in there eating and causing sh!t. Some pretty good looking women there too lol. Should have got him to sign a pizza box or something but my brother and I just said to him 'good show man' and he replied thx dudes I don't even know where the f*uck I am

He was so drunk and high he could barely stand. Which makes sense why the live perfomance was so bad. But a good memory none the less.

Not wearing a mask in public is disrespectful to the millions of men and women who served/continue to serve in ours and every nations military. The challenges they faced, the horrible conditions they endured the pain, suffering and death they were dealt. And you can’t wear a thin piece of cotton over your nose and mouth? Fu(king pus$y.

Originally games were going to be played in Red Deer as well as Edmonton, were they going to be at your rink?

I remember him like it was yesterday. Purple spandex stirrup pants (like chicks used to wear in the 80’s, elastic at the bottom to keep them from riding up) and a white t-shirt that said “(frank) dancing let’s (frank)”

Saw them one other time at BC place. Had tickets to the show they cancelled last minute and went to the re-scheduled show. Sound in BC place sucks.

The Cult that first night was so cool, great energy and I loved their stuff. It was the Electric tour. The band ended up getting hauled away by Vancouver PD for inciting a riot. They encouraged fans to rush the stage near the end of the show.

For those who were involved in that UFO discussion, Fox News just posted a very “credible” story on the matter.

Geez, if Fox News is reporting evidence of alien visitation it must be true. Egg on my face!

Donating to a military cause for the people who sacrificed everything so you can have those basic freedoms...Then taking them away without following a proper legislative process is a bit different...and ironic no? Masks don't 'help other people' lol. It's just the 'illusion of safety' and virtue signalling as Tyler Durden so eloquently put it. But if it makes you feel better aboput yourself and the things around you RC...wear a body condom man lol

Masks have been mandatory in almost every major centre accross the country since before or Around Aug 1st...but yet cases rise exponentially. They sure work hey?

Oh wait it's the 'people who wear them' or 'the quality of the masks' or 'not wearing them properly' or 'not triple filtered' lol there is no winning here when public perception is 'you need one to survive and protect others' Can't even make this Sh!t up lol

- LordHumungous

first of all masks do work. i know your medical expertise gained from your doctorate in youtube might say differently but medical experts disagree.

https://www.cdc.gov/coron...ng-science-sars-cov2.html
https://www.mayoclinic.or...navirus-mask/art-20485449

secondly, i love your logic that since the virus is still spreading that means that masks don't work ergo we shouldn't have to wear them etc. the logic basically means that unless something is 100% effective, we shouldn't advocate or mandate it. where else should we do that? hey, jail/punishment hasn't eliminated crime so i guess that means that it's ineffective and we don't really need it? it's just a limitation on our personal freedom right?

finally, i'll address your legislation point namely that these restrictions have been put in without legislation. that pretty much says everything we need to know about you.

you'll only sacrifice if it is legislated. here's a clue for you: that wouldn't be sacrifice; that would be obeying the law. put another way, the soldiers that you purportedly support by and large were not conscripted/drafted, they voluntarily sacrificed for their community.

the fact that wearing a mask is a bridge too far for your personal freedom says a lot about the personal sacrifice you will willingly make to help others.

I've never seen that kind of straight forward speed from him for comparison's sake.

For me he's kind of a classic Czech player. Strong on the puck and in board battles and very defensively aware.

Might have a shot somewhere in the bottom 6. Don't know if he has the offence to be a spare top 6 player for a ceiling.

Yeah, I meant more in his Jack of all trades style. Not the biggest guy, works hard, has enough skill to play with skilled guys but probably better suited lower in the lineup. Like Hansen, a late draft pick, a long shot to ever make it to the NHL.

That's what I thought you were meaning.

Philly drafted David Kase in the same draft, one round earlier. They are pretty close in stats in Czech league this year and even the AHL at both around .5 ppg for their AHL careers.

Players that you hope just take that next step and for them it better be soon.
