do you think the chances of Drouin improving his game are equal to Gomez coming out of retirement and racking up 130 points..? damn, we're doomed - Pat1993

it's delivered at your door? that's cool, here you can order from the SAQ but you still have to go pick it up at the post-office, which kinda defeats the purpose of having something delivered - Pat1993
it's the only good thing that came out of all of this. i'm not sure they were delivering booze around here until we had to stop coming in to get it ourselves. |

ya I know
I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic about Drouin, but I wouldn't be betting anything on his performance

If Scott Gomez comes out of retirement and racks up 130 points will we revisit his trade and call it a win? Those are massive ifs and those ifs won't change the Cup win in Tampa - Takemedrunkimhome
Tampa cannot complain with the overall results of their moves, obviously.

I'm optimistic about him but realistic enough to know the trade was a loss either way |

well, if he does improve and becomes consistent, it wouldn't be that much of a loss, no?

So far, yes.
We'll see how it turns out in the end.

I still think Sergachev is being overrated a little.
He's not a Cale Makar or a Heiskanen or a Dahlin for his team.
He posted 34 points with 2nd powerplay time on what is most likely the strongest team in the entire league.
He's been mostly used as a third pairing guy and gets mostly offensive zone starts. If he stayed in Montreal, I'm not convinced we would have seen the same results as he would have been shoved into a much bigger role way too fast.
Now I'm not saying he's not good and he's very likely to get better too. I'm sure Tampa is very happy with how things are looking right now.
But it's the not the terrible trade some are making it out to be.
And there's plenty of time for both players to change the perception of this trade. |

51%-49% is a loss right? And it isn't even mildly close to that today |

I'd still consider it as a fair trade, especially since we're comparing a forward with a defenseman, but I get your point

i just had to show my license.
you have to spend $50 or something like that and then they add $9.99 for delivery but that seems worth it right now. i do miss perusing the aisles. the liquor store is fun to me like a record store, i could spend hours in there. |
