The news about Return to Play is not optimistic. Each side is trying to mitigate the loses and that is understandable but the problem lies in that each side sees the other as the "enemy" instead of working from the common ground of actually playing hockey.
I would love to see them suspend the current CBA for this year. Fully pushing it off til the start of the 21-22 year. Players get 50% correct? Instead of signing players to salaried contracts simple sign them to a 1 year percentage contract. Currently Panarin makes about 14% of the cap space. With the CBA suspend the Rangers could sign him to a 7% contract of total revenue.

the thing is, if you take Panarin, he gets 13 million in cash for the 2020-21 season and already got 12 million of it in a signing bonus, base salary of only 1 milion
I dont even fathom to understand how to work that out

That why I think you just put an entire pause on the CBA and unilaterally work off an separate side letter of agreement for the this year only. When the CBA kicks back in next year it would be like time just started again on the current contracts.
Its like the idiots who still get dwi's. You got uber, lift ect. if you get a dwi in this day and age you should just be shot.

I once heard someone I know describe driving a boat drunk like playing a video game. You just follow the chart plotter line on the GPS and try to keep the little boat picture on it all the way back to the dock

Yeah, sadly back in the 90's it was tolerated, so we did it all the time. I was out drinking with buddies 7 nights a week and someone always drove home. Very few scary incidents, and no tragedies. We were quite skilled, really.

When I was a teenager I wasted an hour and a half on that steaming pile of poop movie in the theatre. I'm so "smart", I also saw the sequel in the theatre with some girl - 2sticks1puck
I ruined it for my wife about 10 minutes in when I told her it wasn't real. Should have left at that moment.
How is everyone doing? Will get a blog up as soon as I can. Trying to do a few things around the house etc., taking more time than I expected. Not much going on, save for the "negotiations," which I will get to again in my next blog.

I keep watching videos of people reacting to us getting the #1 overall pick
