Everybody knows Flyers are in need of a top pairing Dman, who plays a lot of minutes, to.pair with Provo, so why post that?... Must be keyed on the capitalized "BIG"... Are you indeed hinting on Chara?

If... IF... if they can sign him for one Srason on the cheap, and he stays healthy and can play near 20 or more quality minutes per game... he could be the gap player who can bridge them through the expansion draft without endangering the loss of a young key players that they don't want to lose, but would if they sign a player they'd have to protect... He would also be able to mentor Provo and the other young stud Dmen and other young talent on the roster.

Key is a reasonable AAV... and convincing him that this is the team for him to end his career on... two years would be okay, with no clauses involved, leaving him unprotected for the draft.

Fletcher did mention he was going for the Gusto.
