good for montreal. they have a legit scorer on the wing for suzuki or kotkaniemi going forward... drouin on on line, this guy on the other. Josh Andersen on the 3rd??

what lineup projections do you all foresee?

If we move Weal and Kulak for picks we are probably ok, I would prefer moving those 2 instead of Byron (although I kinda like Kulak).

4th line would probably be Lekhonen-Evans-Byron, which is a pretty great 4th line. Lekhonen is a legit 3rd line player who would be pushed on 4th line, good sign for the strength of the roster.

5,5 mills if I remember correctly. Same cap hit as Anderson new contract. Habs have most of their forwards pretty cheap (at least until Gallagher sign his new contract next year). Of course on the other side, we are paying our goalies a ton of money, but at least Allen pricey contract is finished next season.

I bet Byron is gone (5’9) and replaced by a bigger 4th liner (Martin/Perry?$

Byron is our only speedster/PK breakaway machine, I would keep him first instead of Weal/Kulak/etc. We have enough big body in front with the acquisition of Anderson and Toffoli IMO.

Dude. He’s played a full season in 2 years.
He’s been seriously injured, he’s too costly for what he could bring imo

Yeah I guess it's a risk. But Weal have no place in the current lineup now. Same with Kulak (now that Mete is re-signed), with the arrival of Edmundson and Romanov.

I would at least give a chance to Byron to show if he's 100 % recovered next seasons before trading/burying him. Nobody will give much for him right now for the same reason anyway.

Agreed ... Byron will be shipped along with a draft pick in order to clear cap space. Bergy likes to have a cushion.
