Blue Jackets "Working Hardest to get Hall" (e3)
It remains to be seen if they can pull this off, or if this is Longer or Shorter Offer, or if Taylor Hall would go to Columbus short or longterm...As I was writing this I was sent a separate text saying "Jackets are maneuvering for Hall."

They still have to sign Dobios and Gavrakov, and less than $2M to do it!
If Dubinsky is out they do have his LTIR cap space, but it still is not enough. They need to trade Elvis and all of his cap hit to do any significant FA signing! |

I'm not positive about us chasing a Taylor Hall signing. There are other wings I'd prefer to trade to get - Laine would be 6 yrs younger, and about the same price after his RFA time. Plus we'd be getting his best years, where Hall's best is probably behind him . . . although his typical year stats would put him around the top of the Jackets top player stats !!
I hope it's a smoke screen from Jarmo, while he really has a different target. |

Excuse my ignorance as I don't really watch nor follow Hall, but what is the obsession with him and why is all the news about him make it sound like he is some superstar player? I mean, he had a couple good seasons in the past but all this hype he is getting. Not saying he is a bad player or anything but just maybe need more info from those who know a lot about him on why all this hype about him. |

He won hart trophy and had over 100 points not too long ago. His teams generally win draft lottery too lol |

Hall was drafted first overall. Hart trophy winner. Very good player but a bit overrated in my opinion. |

Nathan Horton was a pretty high profile UFA when he signed here. But I am sure you knew that since you are clearly a knowledgeable Jackets fan.
