My takeaway from that tweet is that I can have Matt Murray and Jack Johnson for $1/Month.

Like I said a while back, it's crummy that we're in the territory with Rutherford that his moves need to be judged on what other bad moves won't be made because he went this direction instead, but I'll be happy with the Hornqvist trade if it means I never have to see Johnson in a Penguins sweater again.

Basically the same thing he said last week on Madden. Jack won't be playing over Ruh either.....book it. I think JJ is gone.

Sounds like johnson’s minutes will be dramatically cut from 18 to 17 and a half minutes...sounds like a solid plan.

Just wish i was crosby’s best friend...then i could make millions playing for the penguins too!!!

Oh well...

You must be scarred for life after losing $4K watching The JJ Show in the playoffs.

Until we realize that he used 2.5 mil of the salary cap to sign a 41 year old Rob Scuderi...

I heard they brought in an older guy that was playing in the Australian pro league named John Jackson.

Pardon if this is completely out of the blue however, I've been racking my brain trying to understand how valuable making the picks that turned into Poulin and Legare were to JR. I've been trying to keep up on the two Legare being much more difficult but I can't see why these two although very talented are the ones who were drafted and not these picks used to keep the window open

I think he may of traded up to get Legare?....I could be wrong and I believe he did this because they're best friends and grew up playing together.

With regards to the picks themselves, especially the 1st (Poulin) its probably just an off year where he couldnt get the player he was zoned in on around the deadline and just kept the 1st haha.

I mean JR has a track record of moving guys not long after he brought them in. With that said he also has shown the ability to make his teams worse with trades. So while he may move JJ he may do so in a way that he manages to make the team worse. Either way it’s a believe it when I see it kind of thing.

They were both considered good value at their spots and they are both what you would consider physically ready for the NHL. I would not be at all shocked if they both see playing time this year.

His dad passed away. Plus the injury factors.

Maybe a bit of hubris, thinking he was the man after two strong cup performances but also he has had struggles since his father passed away.

Id also say that his game is better suited to a team that plays clamp down defence rather than a run and gun team like the Pens.

On the right team he might win a Vezina, on the wrong team he will have a sub 90% save rate.

He's just average tbh. Nothing special.
