Montreal is trying to get rid of a center because they have too many now (who would've thought). So why would they try to acquire another one???

Malkin wants to be The Man. If Malkin becomes The Man in Nashville, then who's the Man (men?) coming back to Pittsburgh? Wouldn't Steve YzerMAN be interested? And what about power forward Mike HoffMAN? Where's he going? To the Jets to play in Winnipeg, MANitoba?

Why would Calgary have any interest in Gostisbehere or JVR?? Makes zero sense. They already have Gio, Hanifin, Valimaki, and Kylington on the left. Ghost doesn't fit anywhere, not to mention that he sucks. If the Flames move Gaudreau, they will be asking for assets like Myers, Konecny, Farabee, Frost. Unreal.

It would make sense to trade Danault for a good return (Ie Danault + for Laine) while Danault wouldn't necessary play 3rd C but Koivu would. We already know that Julien loved Evans at 4th C so I don't think there's another position at C opening up unless dealing Danault.

But again, I'm really agains't trading Danault in the first place, but who knows what Bergevin thinks.

Anyway I doubt MB goes after Koivu but he wouldn’t be a bad 3rd center for a 1 year deal.

Agreed. It's odd that a guy that runs a hockey rumor site could be so out of touch with the value of the players on his favorite team. Then again, it is the Flyers that we're talking about. And their general fanbase is notorious for over-valuing their players, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

How come Montreal isn't raking in the Finnish FAs? What a bunch of nonsense. Pens should sign Koivu though. He'd get a crack at competing and Pitt needs a 3C, probably comes cheap too.

Don't get me wrong, Laine is a stud but you are underestimating Danault. A lot of GMs contacted Danault to see if he's available. 7th in selke awards. Can give you 50-55 points as well. I'm sure he could hit 60 with talented wingers. He's a perfect #2 C in the league.

Well I think we all are guilty of over-valuing our own players but the Flyers literally couldn't give the JVR contract away and Ghost is not to far behind. I don't love Johnny Hockey but he still has some serious value at least.
