When they have comfy leads they start sitting back and every single time it comes back to bite them big time. They absolutely dominated for the first 2 periods after the 3rd goal you could see what the script was going to be. In OT they were aggressive again and got the W.
When they sit back all they’re doing is making it easy for NYI. For (frank) sakes stop it with the passive play every time you take the lead. |

Sure they can. But it will be another tough one, especially if Couturier can't play. |

Thanks Bill! The fact that this game went to OT drives me crazy! First off, the NYI first goal was embarrassing! It was so obvious that Barzal made no attempt to leave the crease area and the goal stands?! The crew in Toronto blew it! Been saying it the whole series that Barzal is way too comfortable out there and we need to bump him around. He creates scoring chances almost every time he’s out there. Hart needs to learn how to slow the pace more by holding onto the puck when possible and AV continues to save timeouts for some reason when the team could use one in critical moments such as late in the game with a 2 goal lead and the opponent threatening!! Good to see G and JVR as well as Niskanen join the party! Still gonna be tough. Let’s Go Flyers! |

Any insider info Bill? Definitely looked like the right knee. Maybe bent it back a bit and sprained it? |

Just need to play Game 6 like all 60(+) minutes of it is sudden death OT, no matter who's in or out.

Felt bad for Barzal until I saw the replay of his knee hit on Cooter. Didn’t look accidental to me. It wasn’t pretty. |

My standout player in this years playoffs so far has been Phil Myers. He really jumps out on the screen. Terrific player. He adds a little more muscle to pop some forwards and you’re looking at a top 10 D-man in this league. |

Respectfully, it's Hart by a mile plus .... not even debatable.

Bill Meltzer: Wrap: Flyers Force Game 6 - bmeltzer
I can’t remember the last time I saw this team well Execute a two on one or actually go to the net for a tip that was meant to happen. Like that OT goal was a thing of beauty. I’m grateful to Scott Laughton because it’s clear a light in his brain clicked on and he said to himself “ohhhhhh, you have to score by blinding the goalie and redirecting shots in front of the net”. |

I am happy for G and JVR. Laughton, TK and Hayes were all really really good tonight. G and Jake really drove the boat this evening. Good to see.
The tying goal was infuriating. Clutterbuck just dominated in the corner. How is anyone that open in front of the net late in a one goal game?
I had no problem with the first Isles goal. The Flyers created all of the contact on Hart. Pitlick was literally laying on him after pushing Barzal into the crease.
If Coots is out I am not sure what they do. Keep the first two lines intact. Play Grant sparingly at 3 center? Thompson on D zone faceoffs? Basically double shift Hayes and Laughton when reasonable.
They are really in trouble if Farabee is out as well. |
