As an RFA, I don't think he has the leverage to price himself out of anything or anywhere. Now, has he made himself undesirable in New York? That is another question whose answer is probably only known internally within the Rangers organization.

I think Tony is a keeper. The hardest positions to fill on an NHL team is Center and RHD. I believe Tony and Quinn came to some kind of understanding this past season. He performed on the ice and Quinn didn't have a reason to bench him. Tony is still young enough to keep trending up, and I don't think we have seen him at his best yet. Providing him with an upgraded partner to Staal should also help him become better defensively.

Given the flat cap, I would only extend him a 2 year bridge at aprox. $8.5 total. That financially rewards him for this past season and the 2nd year buys the Rangers time to let Miller, Lundqvist and other prospects mature and show if they can be NHL players. It also makes him easier to trade if things don't work out.

I am sure the Rangers will cover themselves with some kind of media clause. If Tony says something objectionable to the public ( worse than what Milbury did ) there will be financial penalties. I actually am not worried about his off-ice stuff TBH, I think he is continuing to show growth and maturity as he ages.

WTF is with that cap projection chart. Max Domi with 8 year at 8.8 million per...did i miss something and Domi has become one of the top players in the NHL while i was sleeping?

Whether you believe in "cancel culture" or “left” leaning politics, his support of Trump and promotion of right wing agenda makes him somewhat toxic. Especially since little remorse or forethought appears to be the case, at least initially.

Why do liberals always prove intolerant of a person's own political beliefs if it differ's with their's???? Don't you realize that this is FASCISM!! This is exactly how 1935 Germany was, that I know because I was told by a German survivor from the death camp, God rest her soul. The reliving of history is happening now!

If ADA was as vocal as he is but on the other side he’d be getting told he’s not vocal enough. But since it’s against their beliefs he gets all the labels that come along with it. It’s a ridiculous double standard

If he was as vocal for the “other side” you’d complain more about his defensive deficiencies

Shut up and play hockey. Make sure your hamstrings are in shape next time they drop the puck.

Seriously though

ADA should have been humbled by how much ass he played like in the bubble in Toronto.

He should be like I need to stop typing on a damn phone or typing on a damn computer and stay in shape.

Yes, pulling a hamstring was a direct result of typing on twitter he supports the POTUS

Injuries happen, and it was unfortunate timing for him to pull a hammy.
This is my social media account. I've seen enough crap on my wife's FB to know I'll never partake. From what little I've read, ADA seems to like trolling easily offended twits and I honestly find nothing wrong with that. OTOH, from the NYR perspective there will likely be a social media clause if he wants to act like an ass online.

If that’s all he did it would be fine.

How are you ignoring that he got to the point where he was fighting with a fan so bad recently that they almost arranged to have a fight.

It’s ridiculous. Just (frank)ing shut up and play hockey

What I am saying is that being a -6 in three games in Toronto should have been humbling and he should be quiet.

Like Crash Davis said to Nuke Lalouche. Win 20 games in the show, and the press will think you are colorful. But until you win 20 games in the show, they’ll just think you’re a slob.

How come no one is coming out sayin Lebron should just shut up and play basketball? Remember when the Fox News host said that and got DESTROYED bc of it? Double standard. I personally don’t think athletes should be brining politics into sports. Sports were always a way for everyone to get away from politics. Regardless of what side of the debate you were on, you went to a sports event and no one could give a poop, you talked sports at a sporting event. Now you can’t walk into the stadium or sit next to a stranger without knowing exactly how they feel about every current event. It’s ridiculous.

My point is where’s the outrage for the athletes in other sports that wear sayings on their jerseys and give post game reports on how they feel about politics? No one is telling them to stop. But ADA keeps it to social media, doesn’t bring it to the rink or the locker room and it’s a problem. I actually agree with u he should cut it out, but it’s refreshing to see a player on the other side of the debate making a stand.

ADA has had one good season.

ONE.

in a career where he’s been an EXTREME underachiever.

All the talent in the world, but a 2 cent head.

One good season and now he’s the king of twitter.

Stop it.

Even though I'm no fan of POTUS(despise the left and right), I agree with everything you have said.
