Who? Suzuki? I’m fine with paying a premium to get him, if it’s to much target Domi. I’m not saying we HAVE to get any of these guys, I’m fine with keeping Strome. Just pointing out the only teams I see that are a little deep up the middle (VAN and MTL) are a little weak on the wings, which is where we’re deep.

Danault. He is the most complete center on the team. Not best scorer, but combinations in all three zones. Why I say they likely won't move him.

Roster would be looking pretty good right now if we kept Hayes over Kreider

Every draft pick after number 1 should be for Centers

Do you remember the gloating many did when Hayes got $50 mil over seven years? I was all in for six years at around $6 mil per and most thought that was an overpay.

I still think hes overpaid. Everyone was gaga about him this year, and he had 41 pts this year. 69 games I think. I mean whoopdy doo! Is that really worth 7 mill? I get that he’s an all around player, but that’s a lot of money and not enough return.

Almost every mid level center at Hayes age and contract level are overpaid. I'd just rather over pay a solid two way center who can do it all, but hit, lol then overpay for Kreider like NYR did. Especially now, when we see a possible log jam at LW and holes at center.

Centers are at a premium in NHL. NYR has 1 legit center right now. If Strome is signed then he will be overpaid too, and IMO he's not as good as Hayes.

I didn't want to sign Hayes to that contract either, don't get me wrong, but it seems to be biting us in da ass now. That all goes away if a center is brought in and Barron steps up sooner then later

Danault would be a perfect 3rd line Center for us, face off guy, those French Canadians are born with Faceoff ability

Anyone think Reimer is having flashbacks? May need to see a therapist all over again

How is paying a 2nd line player 6.5 million a year when he would have gotten more on the open market an overpay? I get you don’t like him but the contract is not an overpay at all when first line players are making 9 million plus now per year

All the talk for a blockbuster is retarded at best, why make a deal before 1. We haven’t seen what most of these high picks are and 2. Why pick up another guy we’d have to protect in the expansion draft? I’m all for solidifying the bottom 6, pick up a guy like Haula or Janmark in free agency

Think when this round is over we’ll be picking at 21, I hope either Zary or Brisson fall that far

Most agreed that Hayes got a bit of a overpay. I like Hayes, but didn't think he was worth it then, but now I'm a bit pissed he wasn't resigned.

If you're talking about Strome, I'm not sold on him getting that dough

I wouldn’t mind him as a 3C, but not the guy I’m giving up assets to center Panarin. If we didn’t have Strome, maybe. But I just don’t see the need when we can just sign Strome for free.

It's not always about whether a guys is worth the $/term, but rather if he's worth it considering the other players/needs of a particular team.

Just saying keeping Hayes and not kreider or getting Trouba might have been better route

I agree, get Frederic to center our 4th line and let’s see how things play out this year with Kravtsov Chytil Barron etc

It sucks cause I will probably have to cheer for them next round if they play the flyers

I’m not passing yet on Chytil as the 2nd line Center, he had chemistry with Panarin and Kakko
